Well there's two conflciting rumours about the development. let's hope the positive one is right.

I agree we shouldn't be going near Seddon and McNulty unless we are getting some extra revenue from somewhere- so hopefully that means news will be good :D . However, in football terms, both would be decent accquisitions.

I thought we broke even this season, but were playing catch up on how much we lost the one before.

Unfortunately as we found with Bond,Tomlinson and Edwards at the end of the day we are powerless against the 'big boys' to prevent it. Fortunately if Cook and Mackreth do go they are under 24 so we will be entitled to a tribunal fee. Grimsby have denied any interest in Adam Boyes but the worrying one to me is Danny Hurst. Gateshead have released both their keepers and must have a replacement lined up. Didn't Danny have a good game at the International Stadium. Could well have been noted and they certainly have the financial clout.
On the incoming side I hope we stick with the principal we started with last season. Yes lets have a couple of experienced old heads but youth is the future. I understand there is a possibility that Jordan Connorton will be released by Crewe. Apparently he has looked a different class on loan at Kendal and Wukkie this season.Fleetwood have released a young centre back who was highly rated but has been unable to break through because of FattyMac and his partner. I think his name is Duggan.Son of God could be another on the radar if he's released by Morecambe (not been a regular this season). But who knows. Its all pure speculation.
I've watched Connerton multiple times and can testify that he's quality. Great footballing brain and full of goals, although he's somewhat similar to Boyes.

I was stunned that we didn't pick him up from Lancaster, at a time when our striking options included Nick Rogan and Paul Tait. It made me wonder if the gaffers we're even following football locally. In fact, if I remember rightly, he had a stormer against us in a friendly a few years back, which Richie Partridge played in and Lancaster won.

The Duggan you speak of would be 'Hacksaw' Jack Duggan.

I honesly can't see how Cook could could play in the league hes nowhere near ready IMO but proves what i know. I hope Hurst stays him and skelton are the only two players i remotely give a shite about being here next season players come and go at this level.

Mcnulty would be a step back hes overwieght and slow but can win headers so we would need someone quick to sweep behind him.

Young players Bayliss please no journey men.

Can't understand the FatMac talk. He's either under contract at Fleeetwood or has been offered a new one. He wasn't released. If we were to sign him it would cost us money something we haven't got.

Unless he was signed on a season long loan, or something. :skill:

I think we were a bit more carfeul with money last season. The tough season was the season before 2010/11 when we had no cup runs and probably a couple more higher wage earners.

Last season we averaged similar to 2010/11 season but with a pound increase across the ticket prices, an increase in membership numbers and a couple of prize money's from the Trophy and FA cup. It must have steadied things a little last season.

Next season, I think its going to be tougher than ever financially- If we get off to a poor start gates will never recover.

Would love someone like Steve Mc back but surely will be out of our £ range.

Morecambe releases, including the Son of God and the decent Garry Hunter.

He'll be smelling of dead cod so I'd prefer if we didn't, although on the plus side it might make the grass greener.

I won't be overly concerned If we lose Rutherford and /or Cook, or if Baker doesn't sign.

key players for me are Hurst / S Pearson / Skelton / Owen / Mackreth. M Pearson- I don't know, I really hope he can recover his fitness and come back. But he's had two season ending injuries already.

So who's coming in then- those "In the know" Who is this really really great winger Bayliss is talking about.

I think Cooky would be a huge loss. Had a brilliant season this year. Also with Baker, people dont like his style, but his stats speak for themselves. Seems to be another player who splits opinion.

Just seen Paul Black's been released from Oldham, had him on loan the other year.

For the "ins"- I just think we lack something from an attacking midfield role. Think about Louis Almond when he first came into the side and the kind of goals he scored from open play. That's what I would like to see next season. A player like that sat behind the front two so we have got options through the middle and down the wings. How many times did our play get held up in the final third and the ball was played across from one flank to the other- over reliant on our wide men. We need a player who can provide an attacking option through the middle and can score goals from open play.
