Said on BBC RC that the terrace behind the goal was empty apart from a single flag. Take it you were on the little bit to the side of the main stand?

In front of the main stand. For some reason the terrace behind the goal was closed - pity because it's the best viewpoint in the ground. This seems to be a trend - similar situation at Halifax, also at Wrexham where there is no other standing alternative. I guess it's all down to policing/stewarding costs.

This is the first three points away from home with the Barrow bucket hat in position.It now stays.A pretty even game in the first 45 with not many chances but we came out in the second half and for the first ten minutes or so really took the bull by the horns.As has been already said Cooky missed with a header which is unusual for him when it seemed easier to score.He also had a strong appeal for a penalty turned down and from the stand it certainly looked a stonewall penalty.Cooky objected that much he nearly got booked.Just finished celebrating Cooky's goal when it was in the net at the other end.Don't know if we lacked concentration just after scoring or what.Then the pen put away by Cooky and then just a few nervous minutes before the final whistle sending 110,111,112,113,114,115 Barrow fans into delirium.It always makes the journey home better.
A great team performance,however,I don't know what VdB brings to the table as he can't tackle,can't head a ball and is generally not good enough.That is only my opinion unless someone sees something else.Kiddy home sat to back this three points up.

Just watched the highlights. Great throw out from Dixon to start the move, where was the Macc defence, great persistence from Howarth and good goal by Cook who even evaded a tackle from Jason

How did Cooky miss the free header from Howarth's corner early on?

Don't think there was much contact, if any, from their keeper for the penalty, but well taken by Cooky.

Good grief! Those were short highlights!! Normally watching the highlights gives you a feel of the match but not in this case.

From the highlights, think the keeper is a bit unlucky after being beaten to the ball, don't think he could get out of the way. As Grimes lifts his foot away to avoid being wiped out, he gets his foot caught under the keepers arm and as he gets loose there is a second contact as it strikes the keeper in the face. Macc players didn't seem to complain about it which gives they impression they thought it was a pen as well.

Maybe it wasn't a pen but just before that Cook was bundled over in the box maybe the ref thought I'll give this one
