Being in the ' play-off conversation' was a little fanciful I thought at first but we have moved beyond that now.

Impressive performance by our new young keeper (he did flap at one corner in the second half, but we can ignore that in the light of some excellent saves ). I liked the way he berated his defenders after every save - they must breed them confident at Forest.

Was a bit concerned bringing in a teen, but going off the footage he looks an assured keeper that wont let the team down and very vocal as well. PC knows his stuff doesn't he.

That was impressive. Only game number 3 for me this season but on those games alone, I think we look like a real threat to all in this league. FGR and Lincoln will be looking over their shoulders now.

I can't get over how hard we work and how well we are drilled and organised when we don't have the ball. Credit to Cox and the coaching team.

Man of the match for me had to be Diarra. He stood up to absolutely everything thrown at him all day and made a couple of very very good tackles and they tried to get in behind. Him and Livesey look like a very solid pairing at the back.

Got to say though, I was also really impressed with ARH - some of his passes were excellent and he linked up with the wide men / strikers very well. Him and Yates also picked up a lot of loose balls that kept possession ticking over.

Bennet / Harrison look like a great pairing and good to see Bennet unselfishly setting up Harrison when he could have took a shot on himself. Glad he got his rewards later with a stunning strike. Was willing Hannah to get his goal and great to see how hungry he is when he comes on!

Love being in the sun. Don't love missing watching Barrow. Since the defeat at Dover we have strung together results that is not only play off form,it is champions form. Fantastic and long may it continue. Back for the trip to Boreham Wood on the bus.

Unfortunately I didn't get to the match yesterday but the football Barrow played from the highlights looked better than any I've seen previously. Even better was that Dixon's replacement really looked the part and, once again, it seems as though the Barrow manager and scouting team knows how to get a good player when it's necessary.

The most enjoyable away day in a long time as we thrashed what was a very decent Daggers side. Yes they had a few missing but this was not us beating a poor side, they created chances too and played some very good football in patches. It seems our mentality and will to win once again saw us through.

The many travelling southern exiles day started with a swift pint in the unwelcoming Pipe Major off the train followed by excellent Pie, mash and liquor at Brook's where we bumped into Dave Ingham. After locating to the Eastbrook pub nextdoor (which seemed to have been left behind in a 1960s East-end timewarp) we met up with many of those who had trained or bussed from Barrow for a couple of pints before a saunter to the ground.

The £21 admission fee and the laughable attempt at segregation were the only down sides of the day but I would gladly pay double or treble to watch that again. We started well but Daggers then had a good spell including a succession of corners, however we held firm before Hughes headed home and Bennett brilliantly set up Byron. In the second half we got through the important opening period without too many scares and then the goal of the season competition was won outright by Bennett's strike from an acute angle. We were standing right behind it as if flashed into the corner sparking frenzied scenes of almost disbelief in the magnificent and vocal away support. A well worked consolation saw us wobble for only a couple of minutes but Barrow found a new hero in new goalkeeper Tim Erlandsson with three "worldy" saves and a superb all round performance.The performance was crowned off by a Byron penalty after Diarra was hauled down in the box for a stonewaller.

Our away support was amazing yesterday. I am sure there were more than 99 but it sounded more like 300 at times. Celebrations continued post match as we stopped off in Barking for a few more before a Pizza stop with wine in London. Our numbers dwindled as the night wore on until just myself and John Woods were left in The Hole in the Wall by Waterloo after 11pm. I eventually rolled in at 0135 with most of those returning to Barrow beating me home (other than those Northern Rail marooned).
