Ask some Carlisle fans what they think....

Exactly stats cannot be argued against ,he would add height and with Kenny Augistein in the team I am sure he would bag a few goalswhitty1969 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 2:12 pmIts all about opinions Adam
I've seen a wheelie bin with more control.
Not for me but can't argue with the stats
Be good if Carlisle loaned him to us

It was a tough one. The ref has got a split second to decide if was a deliberate hand ball and that is what he called i the heat of the game. There will always be debate in close call penalties and offsides and 50/50’ calls. It’s the nature of the game. What about our penalty shout against Fylde that wasn’t given? ref call it right or was that deliberate?xerxes wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 1:46 pmVAR doesn't make any difference in cases like this - there were equally bad decisions made at the World Cup, after all. What I think is wrong is that the concept of accidental handball seems to have gone out of the window. All the ref has to decide is whether there was intent, and in this incident there clearly wasn't, and that was quite obvious in real time as well.
What I think is wrong is the lack of gamesmanship that you see. The amount of grabbing and restricting movement of players in the box that you see all the time. I’d be awarding 10 penalties a game.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

There is absolutely no need for Bennett, when he is practically the same type of player as Blyth.

All this pushing and pulling was supposed to be clamped down upon..but it hasn't been because as Jonty rightly says..10 penalties a game and many sendings offJonty wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:00 pmIt was a tough one. Thanks to Adam for posting the interview link. It had been trailed as being played between 5:30 and 6:00 but didn't seem to be, unless I had dozed off on the M6 and missed it. (I hope not; I was driving.)
Bennett's record here at this level speaks for itself. Last season at Carlisle he was playing in a different role and seemed uncomfortable in it. I'm sure he could learn more under our management team but, much as I liked him here, I don't think there's a place for him in our squad at the moment, particularly since the addition of young Dyson who shows a great deal of confidence and promise.

Can't see us in the market for another striker.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:39 pmI agree, but underpinning everything, would Evatt want to sign him?
I thought he never looked particularly good, but he did score often enough. No pace either.
Agree with you bennett never looked good. Scored goals yes. Would he fit in our team with his poor passing, dreadful control, slow pace and that elbow he swings when going up for a header.... Er no

Unlikely in my view -Carlisle offloading because they need money and we don’t have much if any . Besides, Ian E seems well connected and has brought in quality loan players. With Dyson injured if he needs another youngster on loan I’m confident he’d find one who will fit in better than Bennet . But we need Blyth to stay fit
Re: Barrow v Salford Thread (KICK OFF 12:35)
Yes, I definitely agree with you on that one. Although the ref has to be careful to note who starts the grabbing etc., as it's often the attacking player.

That's a pity. He seemed quite a good replacement for Smith and useful impact sub. I don't think we have anyone similar in the squad.

Shame really about Dyson he was starting to look good.
I thought he was exactly the busy player to complement what we have rather than more of the same with Bennett.
Incidentally, I think like all our big money sales from a couple of years ago Bennett has struggled in the league so with his present form what he could do to help our game is questionable.
