It baffles me Connor Brown starts over Hutton
Perhaps carrying a slight knock from Sunday game?
I meant in general not just yesterday

Going forward Hutton is good. Defensively he needs to improve. He has been singled out by Cooper on a couple of occasions for not tracking back and costing us goals. Connor Brown as a defender is better IMO

Just watched the “highlights” now that blood pressure has returned to normal and have to say we had no luck at all in front of goal yesterday. Didn't show the pen shout for Gordon early on but looked like he was caught pulling the trigger. Nevertheless- then there was the deflected Jones shot which pulled out a good save and the Brough downward header cleared off the line, Second half we laboured and the frustration amongst fans set in, there weren't as many chances but one near post stab at goal from Zanzala and an air kick late on, and a great freekick from out left across the goal mouth and just in front of Platt. It just not happening at all in front of goal and at 0-0 there was allways that risk we would get undone by a set piece or mistake at the other end.

For those saying its one of the worst, hmm, I have seen plenty worse. I would be far more concerned if we had scraped a draw without creating any chances.

Have you seen the other teams at the bottom? We’ll be fine

Exactly Jonty! Look at the big picture, we are all frustrated at not being able to convert good chances, which isn’t the worst problem in the game and in theory is a simple fix with a decent striker. It’s not like we’re shipping 3 or 4 goals every game or not making their back line work or keeper make a save.

Let’s see what January brings.

Hi job definitely isn’t on the line. Remember what it was like this time last season, we are miles better than that and so is MC better than DD and MJ. Add a proven finisher and we are a decent efl2 side.

Penalty shout conspicuously absent from highlights. Perhaps edited by member of the referees' union? Watching the live stream and replay, it looked to me as if the Oldham player put his leg right across Gordon. Cast iron penalty in my view. The officials also missed the disgraceful foul on a Barrow player in the second half after he had taken a free kick. The ref may have been following the ball, but what was the so-callled assistant on that side doing? He must have been very close to where it took place.

Do they have an input into the highlights?

FWIW I didn't think it was a pen - he looked as though he went down too easily and played for it. That might have not been the case but I think it could have gone either way and unfortunately it didn't go ours.

I watched in the full rerun of the game that is available on the clubs official site. It’ was a stonewall penalty.

We were online with that and it was a penalty - no doubt about it.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
