the club has possibly gone too far in not allowing kids under 15 in unaccompanied but something was needed doing hopefully various parties can get together and come up with a more suitable plan

I make no comment on your opinion but would point out that that it may affect future employment prospects if an individual admits or is found guilty of such an offence.

You may be surprised to know that some employers commission enquiries into individuals' social media and other public activities online as part of the application process for certain roles.

The TMF does not exist anymore, we are all in our sixties. A few of us still go to games, but to support the team not to cause problems.

Back to the football. I have just watched the highlights and it reminded me of something I noticed when watching live last night. Good though the overall performance was, I did notice a weakness that Pete Wild has mentioned before - namely, the number of times we allowed players to have space and time to shoot from just outside the box. It must have been 4 or 5 times last night. I hope we can close down quicker in these areas.

What i really don't get tho is how come fireworks, smoke bombs,flares and pyros are perfectly acceptable in Europe but not here and no its not down to Brexit as the same situation existed before then.

I think the injuries that fireworks can cause are more than well documented. To be honest I didn’t see a problem with smoke until I took my son, who has asthma, to a game when one was let off and he suffered an attack. If I hadn’t have had his inhaler with me and quickly moved him to another stand it could’ve been a lot worse.

On reflection, smoke, flares and fireworks offer nothing to the atmosphere and create misery for those with health problems. Generate the atmosphere through voice.

Complete over reaction . I attend most home games with my lad who is 14 and sensible , unfortunately I work shifts and cannot make it every weekend.
On those occasions he goes with his cousin and my wife drops them off whilst she goes shopping at asda and collects them straight after the game .
He is an avid fan and is totally gutted by this decision.
I understand something had to show be done to the fa to maybe avoid a large fine but surely punishing the genuine next generation fans . Wow just wow

Maybe i.m missing something here but whats to stop 15 year old kids sending off for citizen cards and selling them to 13 year olds in the playground ?

Or that people in Europe don't care for their kids ? No of course, not they just use an area of the ground that isnt part of the display.

I’m going to be controversial here now but frankly I don’t care if people agree with me or not.

Maybe if people want to stop the club having to impose such sanctions then fans need to start naming people. The idiot who did it won’t have just taken the firework without telling anyone else. Or as with everything else that’s happened, people talk, people see things and people hear things. It’s about time us as proper fans started to revolt against these idiots and support the club in stamping it out rather than just moaning about the sanctions getting imposed.

Does it work in British football though? I’m not sure how many different British club fans show their support through flag displays? It works at some clubs- Liverpool have always had flag displays and many fans meet team coaches outside the ground for big games with smokes and flags but inside the ground I don’t think it’s part of anything like you see in Europe. Drums, megaphones, goal music, fan marches to the ground etc. i just don’t think it works here. Too choreographed. We had displays at Barrow 12-13 years ago and they were well received but like many things hard to keep going.

I agree: silence is complicity. No kicking issues into the long grass- ban should apply to away games as well.

All very false to me, there’s been many great atmospheres at HS and other grounds without them, people just need to open their mouth and support the team. British fans have long been known for creating an atmosphere and following their team in numbers.
