First half: shocking.
2nd half : better but huff and puff with no end product ( again).
If Whing insists on a back 3 then 3/4/3 please and ditch the " set up for a point away from home" philosophy.
Get more players into attacking areas; no team in this league likes being under pressure.

Other than 30 mins of football in the second half, we were shocking! We don’t have a midfield, we don’t have strikers who can finish when receiving the ball, Harrogate had 3 forwards that opened us up at the back repeatedly, we seem to make a lot of passes just for the sake of passing, we don’t run at the opposition to make chances.
Lots of things to improve upon - the players, the coaching staff, the DoF, etc.
Understood it’s early doors in the season but we need to become a football team or we will continue to slide.

Dont forget we also lost Jason Taylor from the coaching staff. He was a big voice on the touchline last season. So many changes on the pitch, it’s not going to be easy.

A very strange performance after last Saturday. The corner that we thought had been turned proved to be a mirage.

Whing certainly didn't mince his words. Was it attitude, complacency, or lack of fitness? There will have to be be some tough discussions and plain speaking at training.

Awful last night.
Only positive was that whing made the subs at half time to get them puddings off, most managers wouldn’t have done that.

We looked better with 2 up top. Cameron looked a handful for once.
Crossing into the box is awful. The best cross was when Walker should have scored.

Canavan got bullied all game, if you aren’t quick you at least need to be strong.

Time for winterbottom to play in the league. You can’t blame a keeper for conceding in a one on one but Farman did pretty well for us stopping one on ones. Distribution needs to be better from the back.

Just our luck with more injuries too!!

Hope we can get some loan players in, preferably loan lads who won’t dribble the ball into touch would be nice.

We might get lucky again in that there are a few poor teams in the league again, we’re looking like one of them but hopefully we have enough to stay up.

And when will the bucket hats be available in the club shop, sick of burning my bald patch.

Trying to find the odd positive. I thought Andy Whing was very honest in his post match club interview. I also thought Kerr looked as if he’s got plenty of potential. Shame about the Healy injury he looked decent for the brief period we saw him.
I was at the match and I said to another disgruntled fan on the way out well at least we’re not in Morecambe’s situation or for that matter Carlisle who we heard had just dropped more National League points.

Let’s just hope we’re having a slow start and we can quickly turn things around.

Worrying times really when a manager is so critical of the efforts, running and desire of players at this early stage. A lot of them are new and should be fired up and working their socks off to quote Andy Whing. Upfront was always going to be an issue but the bigger concern would be the mistakes at the back Raglan in particular, Stanway shaky and not a lot in midfield or our wide. Also worrying for me is despite the injuries of which Healey seems another Sam Barnes, are any of those players when fit really going to make a huge difference? To me there’s no game changers or sparks there and we still need 2/3 more better than what we’ve got which is now very difficult even unlikely.

Stanways distribution is awful. Loves coming off his line far too much for me too. A long journey over last night for a shocking first 60 mins of football. Walker should have buried the chance he got. I think there's a team in the squad that can keep us in the league. Cameron made a massive difference when he came on. Not a great start to the season.

Having watched it last night I thought Harrogate were excellent whereas we seemed to be always chasing the game.We did come on stronger second half but despite spending so long in their half we didn,t seem able to score and that is worrying.

I agree with the comment that Winterbottom should start the next game. The shots that Stanway punched out Winterbottom would have caught and redistributed the ball .

.We are also now down to 14 available players for the next game which is worrying as Cameron is carrying an injury so we may be down to 13 available players for the next game.Fingers crossed we play better on Saturday.

Fletcher
MJ Williams
Hemmings
Foley
Healey
Harper
Adu Poku (if he still counts)
Cameron is carrying an injury, so Andy Whing says in his interview.
Don't let the old man in.

If Whing insists on a back 3 then 3/4/3 please and ditch the " set up for a point away from home" philosophy.
Get more players into attacking areas; no team in this league likes being under pressure.
We need a right back and go 4-2-3-1, or we need a right wing back if we are sticking to this formation, and they need some pace!
Seen mentions of Whitfield coming in, but if we stick with this formation then it might be same as Barkhuiezen where we just stick square pegs in round holes

No academy, no reserves, no youth teams or junior. A club with absolutely no structure. Kendal town have a better infrastructure than us. The club handed to keys of the castle to a football agent based on an rumours someone else wanted him.

It’s embarrassing that an EFL club struggles to fill the bench so early in a season. I have no idea what sort of checks we carry out on players but we have signed a load of injury prone players.

Despite 5 years in the football league we don’t belong in it. The owners have invested loads of money and what they have done has been great but they haven’t employed the right people and that has cost them in the long run.

I'm certain we only play a back 3 because Canavan is too slow for a flat back 4, as you say Barkhuiezen is a winger yet we're ( allegedly) playing with 2 wingbacks it doesn't make any sense !
