Don’t you just love days like this. We win 4-2 away from home to 2nd in the league and Carlisle get hammered 5-2 to a team that was below us before today . Think I may listen to the melt down whilst celebrating our win

BBC Essex saying our game plan worked and the ref helped us. Not the football I want to watch I’ll be honest but looks like we will be a no football scrappy side. If we get results can we complain

Can’t remember the last time we wound up a home crowd like that. We never gave them an inch. It ain’t pretty but there’s more than one way to win a football match. Credit to Murray he got that spot on today. We do look vulnerable at the back but we also look a threat on the break and that’s something we didn’t have last season. Who was that playing over on the left wing second half. Is it Allen, he’s absolutely rapid

Not many teams watching that will look forward to playing us. Lots of good things today.

The thing I liked most is when Southend got within one goal of us, twice, we created chances instead of sitting back... I think with last seasons mentality we would have drawn that type of game.
