I’m with you on that one Ian.
No worries, I'll be gone after it's been announced.
Actually, I’d no need to post that because NORTHERNSOUL is doing a fantastic job of showing you up for what you are with facts, figures and real inside knowledge - unlike the made up stuff that floats around inside your head.
Very kind with your grades there mate.
I was saying a similar thing at work earlier in the week. How can a club that has just stuck 2 fingers up to it’s creditors be allowed to pay (potentially) £250k for a manager that is in contract? I would hope the Football League would look at this and provide some comments, as if I was one of the creditors that has lost out I wouldn’t be happy!NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 3:50 pmWell for the umpteenth time if Mr Nick Pink Floyd Mason is so loaded then tell him to put his money where his gob is and simply write the bloody cheque and let's be done with it. But i.m pretty sure as you're going to find out it isn't quite that simple.
Clearly either he.s misplaced his chequebook while he.s been locked down or more likely as is coming to the fore someone else with a vested financial interest has told FV that if they write the 250k cheque to Barrow then they want the monies back that they wrote off last year to allow the deal to go thru paying back as less then a year ago and with a pandemic and financial catastrophe in the meantime FV were pleading poverty to get the deal over the line now it appears either one of FV or indeed the club itself is misleading the club's fans that its something they are capable of doing.
And that's before we take into account the views of the FL who could actually see the payment of such a cost be within their remit and point out to Bolton its one that they wouldn't be allowed to make which takes us back to the members of the FV consortium and whether one of them would be willing to do it on a private basis.
Same reason they're not in for Pocchettino - he's out of their league.Play with my balls wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 5:53 pmI was saying a similar thing at work earlier in the week. Also, is there a reason Bolton don’t seem interested in Nigel Clough? He’s out of contract / without a club at the moment isn’t he?
What worries me if Evatt goes will he take Rooney ,Quigley he will have negotiated deals with our players wonder if he did deals that let them leave on the cheap
Their contracts are with the club which will have made sure they don't go on the cheap (see Evatt's own contract) but, as Adam says, Bolton can't buy players.

Clough wasn't sacked by Burton, he did the honourable thing for the club and left because he knew they couldn't afford to pay him during the quarantine.Play with my balls wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 6:07 pmFair enough. I didn’t think his stock would still be that high! Shame as I think he’d be a good fit for Bolton, and then they can leave Evatt alone.
