Hiya bud, You sent me a PM but it was only a qoute of something that was off this topic so if you were trying to tell me something you'll need to try again.

What a cracking six hours we got in down there today.

The electrics are all in place now so they're going to need one more visit off the sparks to connect it all up.

The door to the M,A, has been made secure.

A load more crap has been shifted.

We made one of the gates a little more secure after the wind was starting to rip some paneling off.

We put up the "parking reserved" sign in the car park for our oldest supporter, Ken Harper.

Picked up the boards off GTBLUE.

Fitted the sink & unit & plumbed them in.

Sorted access through one of the turnstiles so we now don't need a director to open up for us whenever we're down there.

The gent's toilet ceiling has now been looked at & we know how to put that right so should be fixed in the next week or two.

Got to really thank.....Alan for doing the sink & plumbing, Neil for doing the electrics ably assisted by his lad Sam, Luke (he doesn't even follow the footy!!) who turned up to help out with the electrics, Mr senario for doing the turstile door, Gary & Mike (Gary & oldbarrafancumback off here) for taking the scrap to the weigh in spot, Mike who will also be doing the ceiling & providing the materials out of his own pocket, the bloke who turned up just to bring us some scrap metal & the lock, GT for donating the boards & John Mackay who stopped with us all day to help out (& give us loads more jobs ) & Neils misuss who brought us the pies.

Fantastic effort by everyone today, loads of stuff done & money put in the pot as a bonus!

On behalf of all the directors and all Barrow AFC fans I would like to pass on our sincere thanks to all those who helped today.

All these jobs not only make our ground look more presentable and safer but also save the club the cost of both materials and labour.

Ian and his team of volunteers are doing a fantastic job and deserve all the help we can give them in whatever way we can help them.

Please do whatever you can to assist Ian and the team whenever they request help.

The more people who help the lighter the load becomes on all who help.

Once again many thanks to all who not only helped today but have already helped in whatever way they have to date.

Agreed. Well done to all concerned.

While we were at the ground yesterday it was highlighted to us how much rubbish there is lying around which isn't helping an already very tired looking ground look any better.
This rubbish includes old gates, bits of wood, steelwork, fencing all sorts of stuff but things that when got rid of or moved to an appropriate place could help the overall appearance of HS.
I've spoken to a couple of people today & come up with a basic sort of plan which would be to split the footprint of the ground into four, possibly five sections. The things that needed either skiping, moving to another area or perhaps even burning would be wrote down on a plan of the ground & people split into groups of say four to do each area.
We think 16-20 people would clear the whole ground in half a day.
I know this is going slightly away from what we set out to do but in the end it'll help our ground look a lot better, so we were just wondering what sort of support we'd have for this on say a Sunday morning in a couple of weeks time (weather permitting)
If you'd be interested could you either PM me or post a reply on here, obviously no one would be held to it as we can't give an exact date but we just wanted a rough idea of the interest. We've already got four possibly five with their names down so anyone else?

I will help, my back is killing at the mo. But as soon as I'm firing on all cylinders again I'll do what I can to help.
