Well not a lot said there. A replay of Russ Dodd saying it looked like world war 3 and Williams saying that it was good to get back to winning ways.

They pointed out the 606 that teams they have been covering don't make it to the next round so they are not sure if they will be speaking to us again.

EDIT: How many made the trip, do we know, does anyone have a good idea?

Picture doesn't say alot by all accounts mate, Paddy Lacey, Greg Mills and the barrow officials in general come out of today with alot of credit.

Just for the record I, and I doubt any other Hereford fans were there today!!! I came on here simply to remind Atherstone that they have come unstuck beofre!!! I was in the very peaceful surroundings of Edgar St watching the mighty bulls draw 2-2 with Dartford!!!
Having just read through this thread, it seems what has happened today is an absolute disgrace, running across the pitch, attacking random people etc.
Also the clobber they're wearing, what a disgrace they are!!!

Because it is illegal to be in possession of a flare, smoke bomb or firework inside a football ground.

Not the best thing to say when they should not be there in the first place and are then used as weapons in an attempt to injure.

Like barrowfan says it is illegal. Under UK law it is illegal for anyone to let off a firework in a public place. Also to carry a firework into a football ground, you can be sentenced to time in jail for simply carrying one in that situation. You don't even have to let it off, if it is clear you intend to enter the ground you can be arrested. Fireworks, smoke bombs or flares it doesn't matter, they are all classed as fireworks and many people every year are seriously injured with them, hence the laws we have governing their use.

It will also lead to you being banned from football grounds for a period of time, and probably fines. It doesn't stop some idiots doing it though.

Having just got back from atherstone with my black eye thanks lads I would just say 99% of the fans are ok.
Me and my partner we in town centre before the game and they were throwing flares about then while police were walking past and they did nothing to stop it.

Going into ground my partners bag was searched why weren't they searched if they had the flares would not have got into the ground it wasn't 1 or 2 flares they were letting them off all game 2 and 3 at a time and just throwing them around randomly and at us when they came over 1 rule for away fans and 1 for home fans.

The fighting had nothing at all to do with the barrow fans they invaded the pitch and came across to us and were just hitting anybody in the way it was frightening for anyone who was there I only got black eye but the poor pensioner that was hit and cut his forehead he was unsteady anyway as had walking stick it is absolute disgrace what happened by these morons.
I would like to thank Brian Keen for coming and asking if I and other fans were ok.

I just hope this tinpot club gets the book thrown at them it is all their fault by not policing it properly

Surely the people at Atherstone realised there was potential at this match for this. They've totally failed to provide adequate control over these idiots. Must have been very frightening for Barrow fans caught up in this.
