looked at his profile - but it doesn't match with the 20 championship games. Stephen Dobbie fits more as he's had 22 championship games this year and is out of contract in the summer so free to sign pre-contract deals. Former striker who plays in midfield.

I'd try and get bogle & Hannah and try sign Tomlinson and keep walker

Bogle would be good , all above would be great , as would that Emmanuel at Bromley ,scores for fun and gets plenty of assists. Losing Cook is not great but it's football, just enjoy a player in your clubs colours hopefully for a season , but never expect any long term loyalty ! Cook has been superb for Barrow leading the line with many a different partner , wish him well in the future , he'll do a job in the SPL or Division 2, and become a fans fave! As long as we have Cox , we will do well , I'm sure he'll bring in 3-4 top striking options in the summer .

I'd love Cook too stay , Cox has given him a fair deal for this level (I'm led to believe ) but if someone is offering u £500+ more at a higher division club , easy for your head too turn! Cook is a one man goal machine , if it takes 2 men too make up the Cooks goals we'll miss then I'm sure Cox will find the 1 or 2 men replacement !

Cooky has done what he got paid for and more.
Amazes me why his contract was not extended by Edmonson,unless he would not sign one.
If he moves will be missed but very little loyalty in Football either way.

If a contract had been offered by Edmo would Cookie seriously have given it more than two seconds thought? A team going nowhere but (possibly) back down, thrashings on a fortnightly basis, his goals drying up & tactics that no one could work out!

If he's only "thinking" over the offer now he most certainly wouldnt have bothered back in October.

Cook has played well in all of the 4 barrow matches I've seen but I'll be very surprised if he's a success in the league. He never stops trying, he's very strong and he's good in the air but he's very slow and even though he's scored a lot of goals at this level he's not a natural finisher. Time will tell but if he's signed by a league club I predict he's be back at non-league level in a season. Walker had far more ability when he left Barrow to go into the league.

Agree with much of the above post. I don't think it is necessarily onlt about the money though. I think that the club/Paul Cox need to demonstrate some intent in terms of others who they may sign. If he sees we could be in the league after next season, he may stay if both elements are there. Can't keep doing it all himself !!

Agree if we get up to the league Cooky will be part of our plans , up to him to perform .
Cox will build a team around him .
We have seen it this year a team like Leicester nothing special just very well organized and a good ex non league striker.
