The turnstiles themselves doesn't need to be electronic but the counter on them needs to be. Been to plenty of grounds where its normal cash turnstiles that must have an electronic counter on them somewhere.
The toilets/water is in every enclosed part of the ground not every side. You can walk from the Popular Side to Cross Bar - that's one enclosed part. Also not all grounds actually have 4 sides - Oxford only has 3 sides.
Agree with the above. Electronic counters need to be implemented in cash turnstiles only, its not a huge job to do this.
Another example of a good 3 sided ground is Belle Vue, Wakefield formerly used by Emley a few years back in he Unibond.

Interesting thread on Confforum about a new stand at Maidstone.
http://www.theconferenceforum.co.uk/article/1066454
Now while I don't like the idea of a fully metallic stand (not least given the prevailing conditions in Barrow and the likelihood of it disintegrating within a few short years), could those with better knowledge of these things than I confirm my initial thought that a similar construction on the HSE would be less weight than a concrete version and therefore more likely to be built?

Engineering wise that would be a doddle to construct, looks very a modular, symmetrical design. Slap one on the HSE please.

That would need to be vented at the back otherwise it wouldn't last long

Become squatters at Craven park for 2017-18 season and make the decsion to get started on Holker Street in earnest.
Knock down Crossbar and move the whole pitch down towards that end. Flatten and reposition a new HSE that is not hemmed in by the Street or that garage. The existing Main stand would stay, but would be extended the other way, flattening west Terrace to make way for it. Shiny new toilets included
New steelworks end built, for away fans, shiny new toilets included
Pop side Terrace upgraded to full length. Retain the splash back wall bogs for posterity and a nod towards the past.
Move into redeveloped ground 2018-19. Smash modern day attendance records.

What - lose our lasting testimonial to the Vaughan era?
Perhaps we could sell it back to him.

Jonty those toilets are that old they're probably protected by a preservation order!

Of course, PC will read this and call Austin Straker, "Hold that floodlight order and get me the Craven Park hotline NOW"
In all seriousness, redevelopment won't be easy but playing at Craven Park for one season would enable uninterrupted development of Holker Street. no messing about or interrupting the playing season. The Crossbar End going and moving everything down that end has numerous advantages, the main ones being it enables a new Holker End to be built with a front that is set back from the street and will just give that extra space to do something on a grander scale, i.e. Build in all the offices, hospitality at that end.
2 overcomes the garage in the corner problem.
3 the main stand would only need extending from one side- the West Terrace side
4 solves the away fan conundrum as now the Steelworks End could be properly developed as the away End.
There you go. 7-8000 capacity stadium.

If we sell it to him, it'll be the first time he paid for it

The problem is parking if we get in to the league we would need decent parking arrangements
