Disagree. I’d rather run his contract down. He’s that important. If he has a desire to go to Bradford he can do that for free in June. Just give us a good three months and see us safe.

He’s been a good player for us this season, one of the more consistent. We will really need him for these incredibly important few months.

If it is Banks I would let his contract run down.We seem to have a good camaraderie in the team at last with the way they are playing for each other.£40,000
these days will not go a long way to getting a decent replacement. The only thing that will make a player go is a higher wage offer, plus the other club is not even allowed to contact the player unless they ask Barrow management first and if the club turns it down that is the end of it,unless they come in with a much higher offer. If we do start to climb the league and the spirit is good I can,t see why any of them would want,t to leave.

Firstly you can offer but they can turn it down, secondly we can offer and they accept and then still go…Rooney, Evatt!
Got money for both.

If a players head has been turned and he asks to go then in my view it’s not worth trying to keep them. In most cases they lose motivation in playing and that becomes disruptive in the changing room. So wouldn’t blame the club cashing in if we had that scenario. Hopefully we have no one asking to go we knuckle down and get on with the second half of the season. Still 23 games to look forward to. 40 k is peanuts in comparison to staying in this league though! :scarf: :scarf:

Could be Brough. Speaking to my Wrexham supporting son-in-law a couple of days ago he asked me about him. Said he had heard they were very interested.

It's Banks and Bradford.

That wasn’t my point, my point was it’s hard to keep hold of someone if they want to go elsewhere, even with improved deals as was the case with Rooney & Evatt.

Absolutely! And anybody who win FA Cup goal of the round must be worth 100k at least. ;)

All this speculation and disruption is caused by agents. It us about time these were taken out of the equation.
All they do is create disruption and bring very little to the game of football. All they are interested in is how much their percentage is each time a player moves.I wouldn,t be surprised if it was one of these agents who approached Bradford after Ollie Banks's wonder goal against Barnsley.
In the end all it leads to is clubs ending up in bankruptcy as they try to out compete each other for players.
Whilst I agree money talks,it is often to the detriment of football in general.

Reading MC comments you can see Banks going "if Valuation " is met. I'd prefer him to stay but where have we heard that before (Rooney, Quigley) - if he does go then i hope MC is already looking at a replacement

It’s football business. You do know this is how it works.

£40,000 is an insult and the [SwearFilter] that made the offer will know that. Anywhere between twenty and forty thousand pound as an arse pocket bung these days just to get a player to sign is not uncommon-never mind the transfer fee!.
