Gordon never gives up .
If we had a big centre forward for him to link up with we would have alot more goals.

The question is who plays Saturday as he cannot play against his home club Walsall.

Gordon will always put a shift in that's for sure, did you notice Harpers absolute feeble attempt to stop the shot coming in for their second goal, pish poor that could have cost us two points, luckily it didn't. If you read this Harper freaking do better!!!

To repeat the first word in many of the posts above, wow wow wow!
Living in Derbyshire means that I get to more away matches than home, but I decided to go up last night, partly because I can’t make the next two home matches and this might be our last league match in my lifetime. Well, that was an inspired choice! Driving back up the A590 to the M6 was a joy, wondering what the mood was like in all those Oldham-bound cars.
I was worried when I saw how thin it was on the terraces, but the atmosphere was brilliant (at least from 80 mins). The Oldham fans were pretty quiet apart from when they scored - imagine 600 Barrow fans at an away match, it would be much noisier.
Josh Gordon was a pest as always, but I was impressed with McDonald and Anderson at the back - McDonald could have got MoM if Gordon hadn’t. MJ was OK, but he would be better in midfield as he didn’t look as calm as usual. As always, I like McCann and Smith always gives us some energy (he might have got that penalty if his dive hadn’t been so exaggerated, but that might have deprived us of the last drama!).
All 3 goals were well taken - I was worried when Fletcher took a touch rather than hitting it first time, but that was very calm. I understand the comment on the Oldham forum that the ball hit Gordon’s arm when he charged it down, but it was the only decision he got from the ref all night. Fletcher should start on Saturday as Gordon can’t play against Walsall. Why did Newby go off? I think he can be a game-changer when he plays like that.
We can still do this ….

Yes for big lad he is very fragile, he is being carried .

Cannot remember who it was against at Holker St maybe Tranmere .
He came out to the left playing towards steelworks end just let the lad run past him and they scored.
He should have fouled him ,it happens regularly.
He lays off the opposition rather than go and block them..
He. is gangly and no heart .

You can just about make out on the Fletcher goal the moment I jumped out my seat - punched the press box window, snapped my work lanyard and then bruised my arm preventing myself from falling in a heap on the floor

I disagree with your analysis of Harper Pedro. If he is as bad as you suggest, perhaps you can explain to The Forum why Sam Foley continues to pick him?
Perhaps it’s because you have had a lifetime of wanting to be critical of something or someone.
And yes, of course you are entitled to express your opinion.

I will hold my hand up, I criticise him for his lack of goals but you can never criticise his work rate, his pressing is infectious, and recently he’s started adding goals as well….
We will really really miss him Saturday, I presume we’ll probably pick Fletcher instead, but him and Rose just don’t have the legs to at Gordon does to press from the front (as well as Rose does try!)

Gordon definitely one of those mysteries inside an enigma kinda players. How did he miss against Barnet? How did score that one last nite? Only man in the ground thinking let's get another straight away!
Did he encroach into the Oldham half before the ball was played, did the keepers clearance hit his arm? Who cares!
We've had some terrible luck this season so it was well overdue.
If you witnessed that last nite, well done you, if you haven't been to a game since Wigan away in the cup keep it like that. You're not needed Saturday.

The atmosphere last night was infectious.I spent most of the game shouting myself hoarse cheering the lads on from the Popular Side .When that third goal went in it was almost as though the roof had been blown off Holker St.Everyone went crazy.Next thing I know this random guy who stands in front of me puts his arms round me and the next think I know we are both jumping high into the air shouting like crazy.What a night,what a game.We can do this ,we deserve it.Walsall won't be a push over but we know we can beat them,so lets have more Barrow Bedlam and be celebrating again.

for a goal of such importance he was as cool as a cucumber
