I can see Barrow taking up to 300 fans. You'd imagine they'd be around 2000 Taunton so it's going to be pretty much full to capacity.

For away supporters, £7 is almost negligible compared to the cost of travel to get there and food/drink for the day. A couple of pints less will cover that. For home fans it probably works out at £7 extra over a season which again is neglibible.Ferret wrote:Moribund wrote:
Would you have an issue paying £21 at Holker Street if Barrow drew Newcastle or Villa?
Absolutely, yes. It's immoral, in my opinion, regardless of who we're playing. I appreciate that making money is vital, especially for smaller clubs, but ripping off loyal supporters is not the way to go about it.

More away fans and more interest this time. Going to be chaos. One turnstile.
Won't sell out though due to being greedy and increasing the entrance fee, but if it does then there's a chance people could travel all from Barrow and not get in. (I would be going over the wall)
They have probably have talked but they are not required to, unless they charge away fans more. They only have to observe the £10 minimum for this round. I posted the rule earlier in the thread. Any disputes require immediate referral to FA, this doesn't seem to happen much. At least not publicly.Arvo wrote:I would imagine that they've consulted with the Barrow board and that they had some input into this price too.
That surprises me, I had always thought that the pricing was agreed between the two clubs. Maybe it's changed recently. It often happens that the price is set halfway between the prices charged by the two clubs (like for like accommodation).K_BFC wrote:They have probably have talked but they are not required to, unless they charge away fans more. Not sure when but it changed sometime after 2007-08 and I know it was used as far back as 2013-14. So it was changed sometime in that 5-6 year period. Clubs are still required to agree during the qualifying rounds.xerxes wrote:That surprises me, I had always thought that the pricing was agreed between the two clubs. Maybe it's changed recently. My mate who lived in Colne at the time bought our tickets as we weren't sure how many tickets we could get from here, trouble was they were bought as Colne supporters so that's where we were sent to - the Colne areas of the ground. Walked in with Barrow scarfs on and within minutes there was trouble (started by a pie being shoved in someone's face.....now that's a novel way to introduce opposing supporters to each other) police grabbed us and we thought that was our day done, what they did was actually walk us around the pitch perimeter and put us in with all the Barrow supporters.....right at the frontThe Tomahawk Kid wrote:Reminds me of when we played Colne Dynamoes away in the FA Tophy Semi-Final 1990. I think they only gave us 250 tickets - yet when the teams ran out it looked like about 500 Barrow in the ground!
