Re: We Need 1 Cash Gate

If every game was selling out in advance, these people who only pay in cash would find a way to buy a ticket earlier in the week.
You would be able to buy a very good burger in fanzone for cash or a not so good pie or other munchies at any of the refreshment huts in ground so don’t be deterred.LDBF wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 12:15 amAlso an expat problem, should I ever get the chance to get to Barrow for a game, my debit card is only valid for Belize so is useless. My credit card could be used for the ticket, but as soon as I used it for little items such as a pie and pint it would be blocked leaving me with nothing to live on for the remainder of my visit to UK.tictactoe wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 11:44 pm People cannot or don’t want to realise that this isn’t just an“elderly person” problem but also for low income families, people who have had money troubles in the past etc. As a fan of over 30 years it [SwearFilter] me off I won’t be able to attend some matches due to their new ticketing policy but [SwearFilter] me off more that the club and some fans can’t see how much of a problem this is
It doesn’t matter if it only affects a small minority, it is still affecting fans who have possibly followed the club for tens of years, but don’t worry, we don’t need their support anymoreliverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 9:42 am Don’t sneer at owners these accountants have done wonders for this club. That is very offensive. They are doing good job.I repeat the numbers affected I believe to be small. The only thing I think that could be looked at is this child’s card which I agree needs 50 pound I think deposit to activate which is a lot if people have several children and trying to treat them equally whether they are football orientated or not..
Sorry but it’s plain wrong IMO. Small or large numbers we are a community club who should cater for all. I won’t go over the points I made in an earlier post but I was adamant it was a wrong policy from the club when first announced and nothing has changed my mind. It does not affect me but I care and have sympathy for those it does.liverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 9:42 am Don’t sneer at owners these accountants have done wonders for this club. That is very offensive. They are doing good job.I repeat the numbers affected I believe to be small. The only thing I think that could be looked at is this child’s card which I agree needs 50 pound I think deposit to activate which is a lot if people have several children and trying to treat them equally whether they are football orientated or not..
Agreed. Or take a look at Carlisle who have three satellite ticket points around the ground on match days that take cash for tickets. I am not saying we need three one would be sufficient IMO. The fanzone IMO would be idealbluessupporter wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 12:58 pm You don't actually need a physical turnstile that takes cash. As I have previously said you can open the office for an hour before kick-off - take cash their is exchange for a ticker. Put it all through a cash register if need be to help the accounting.
So are you saying they're willing to take cash at the food outlets but not at a ticket selling point because if that's correct it makes their stance even more ridiculous ?liverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 9:34 amYou would be able to buy a very good burger in fanzone for cash or a not so good pie or other munchies at any of the refreshment huts in ground so don’t be deterred.LDBF wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 12:15 am

Well keep your opinion to yourself then as i can't see a single worthwhile contribution from yourself on the subject on either this or the other thread.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:46 pmHaving read this carefully, digested it and ultimately I have concluded that this post is aggressive, conceited and unnecessary. COMPLETELY MISSING THE POINT
It's not about cash turnstiles it's about the owners of a football club spouting all sorts of shite about engagement when they want you to buy season tickets [ i.ll bet they wouldn't have turned down a good old wedge in the middle hundreds for a couple of season tickets ] and then taking not an ounce of notice when those very same fans point out something they want changing and what makes it worse is that they're coming across as not giving a shit by refusing to defend their actions other than some crap about being unable to find anyone trustworthy enough to sell tickets for cash [ maybe PH could get in touch with me and i.ll explain to him how an operator provided float system works which completely rules out the possibility of discrepancies in the cash taken ] and at the same time i can explain to him how someone with those inclinations can actually make many times more by instigating a little card fraud but then the difference is that its the customer who loses out not the club but i.m guessing he already knows all of this and doesnt give a shit.
Yes that is correct. It does not make any sense whatsoeverNORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 2:15 pmSo are you saying they're willing to take cash at the food outlets but not at a ticket selling point because if that's correct it makes their stance even more ridiculous ?liverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 9:34 am

the burger van is not club owned - so it isn't the club taking cash.kenny lowe fan club wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 2:34 pmYes that is correct. It does not make any sense whatsoeverNORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 2:15 pm

Well my opinion, that I choose to post because that is the nature of the forum, is that I don't believe I have read any positive pro Barrow postings from you. In your recent one you appear to be adopting an attitude that sees yourself as superior to our chairman, and that if he has any sense he should consult you. Unbelievable really. Arrogance and conceit personified in such an otherwise harmless forum, as this medium.NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 2:19 pmWell keep your opinion to yourself then as i can't see a single worthwhile contribution from yourself on the subject on either this or the other thread.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:46 pm
