Quite a frustrating game tonight, should’ve had about 5 or 6. We were pretty dominant throughout, maintaining possession and winning the ball back quickly.

Onwards to Penrith.

Decent workout tonight. Very impressed with McClelland at the back. Stephens looked very sharp, Gotts and Waters looked lively. As mentioned quite a few missed chances.

Think McClelland could be a top acquisition

Pleasant evening. Nice people.

On top, decent workout.

Triallists same as Holker

Was Connor Brown listed as a triallist (no. 2) on the team sheets the club tweeted out?

Goalkeeper for Ashton first half was the Atherton Collieries keeper that got pelters off our fans in the FA Trophy under Evatt

It's early days I know but I think against the level of opposition we are playing we should be scoring more.
The two sides we played so far no were as good as EFL2.

Listened to the game last night lots of missed chances just like last season.
It's imperative we get a decent goal scorer be it a poacher or other.
Yes we know everyone wants a proven scorer.
Peter Wilde seems to be building a team but it's vital we get that goalscorer.
I am hoping that the cutting of staff is a effort to find the money to pay for a decent goal scorer.

Let's see what happens at Penrith

The interview instills a lot of confidence. Wild comes across as a man who knows what he wants and has a clear plan.

You really think we sacked the Jolly Geordie so we could afford someone like a Scott Quigley or Andy Cook?

Thinking in terms of releasing players as well zanzala, banks,James, both Jones that must saved a few quid.

And been replaced by Bennett, Waters, Sol, Ray, Warren, Foley…….these don’t come for free
