They played the Philips version just before 10. He was absolutely revelling in Barrow losing by such a margin!
Yep.

We were poor tonight.Whatever you think Carlisle were far superior to us and exploited every one of our weaknesses tonight.I just hope Pete Wild is as honest to the players as he was in his interview. These players need to start earning their wages. There was no fightback tonight.

I was one of the ones having a go at the front tonight, I won’t apologise cos we were a disgrace but fair play to Temple Foley and Gordon for talking to us.

As bad as that may have been tonight fair play to PW on his club interview. Clearly livid and emotional around the poor standards. Not really a side of him we've seen before but I'd rather that than paper over the cracks etc.

But too many players are stealing a wage again at the club on long contracts.

Carlisle are the typical successful League Two side; big strong physical team who love a tackle with some quality/pace in the front 2/3. It was indeed men against boys at times
We have some very good technical players, but most teams at this level it’s the physicality that makes them successful. Even our “big physical target man” striker was weak as [SwearFilter]….as is George Ray

Spot on exactly.
Carlisle a big strong team. Most of our lads looked like kids up against them.

I actually thought your lot were well in the game in that first half, and it looked like for us that old 'big crowd, poor performance' stigma had once again struck us.
I didn't notice it at the time however my mate said that our first goal was definitely offside, and if that had been chalked off, or you had taken a chance in the first half then maybe the outcome would have been different.
The second half showed how good we can be, energised, ruthless and efficient, like we have been on a number of occasions this season.
As far as your lot are concerned I wouldn't be too downhearted, as you played some decent football in that first half.
Listened to the interview with 'Wilde' on the drive home, thought he talked a lot of sense and was obviously crestfallen, but I think you'll be Ok with him in charge.

Best bit was Gotts sliding tackle and getting a yellow. Only passion showed all night. Their first goal was Miles offside and that set in the rot. First half good account of ourselves. 2nd half capitulation and Ray didn't recover. Fojey was lost and Bennet dreadful. Improved when subs came on a bit but too late. Thank Christ I didn't make the 200 mile journey for that shower. Wasn't like a Derby at all. We showed no fight whatsoever. Finally what is wrong with Brough lately? It's like he's on tranquillisers. Oh and pen was a dive, but we got battered. They looked decent.

We got pulled all over the place in the second half and had no defensive shape at all. Not enough competition at all in this defence and yet we brought in more attacking players in the window.

Tough to post this without gloating, but I'll give it a go.

First half, you were right in the game - in our faces and making it nigh on impossible for us to go about our business. Those saying your lads showed no passion tonight clearly weren't paying attention for that first 45. I was behind the goal tonight so couldn't really see our first, though the screenshots I've seen make it look like he was a yard offside. But the penalty? Stonewaller, and right in front of me. The ball had gone, but it's as blatant a foul as you'll see from Farman.

The rest of it, put simply we were clinical. Absolutely bossed that second half. You're unfortunate to have played us at a point where we're enjoying such a run of form.

As for the crowd, hopefully a sign of things to come. We've had a lot of fans missing this season due to their feelings for our owners, but over 8,000 of us turned out tonight - and we were well rewarded.

Don't write your side off just yet - we smashed Salford 4-1 at their spot, but they went on a good run of form in the aftermath of that result. It's a big ask for you, but the playoffs are not out of reach for you just yet... see you in April ;)

Just watched the highlights and our first goal WAS onside, very marginal mind you but almost certainly onside.

Boys vs men.
Too many players not willing to put their foot in and some awful decisions.
Bennett was dog shit again.

Has been since the day he was pronounced as fit to play. Average at NL level let alone L2. Not done a single thing to say “this starting shirt is mine……”
