So you obviously think Cook isn't good enough for us ! ?

He quit football to sell real estate in Dubai iirc
Wasn’t that George Ray? Unless Quigley has done the same thing

35 and alot better than we have got, I would have him back for his presence in the box.
Michael Cheek 34 ,Olly Palmer 32 both not quick but score goals Cook if he came would do a job for us !, but after the way some clowns 🤡 cheered when he went down injured and subsequently went off was embarrassing and I wouldn't blame him for not coming back!
Yes that was atrocious the way they booed him.
Every club has its morons.
Yet after the spiel Rooney gave for leaving Barrow a lie I think because he came back and people welcomed him.

Only if they don't do the job but to date Cook has done it .
It's a gamble but far better than a couple of donkeys we recruited off Blackpool beach.

He is supposed to be finished with football but comparing Quigley to Cook is like comparing a Trabant to a Honda no comparison.
Look at both players record

Quigley wasn't an overly-gifted front man, but he was a 100% grafter who knew where the net was and battled to make things happen by hook or by crook. He is now approaching legendary status in comparison to the utter dross that superseded him.

Without quigs, we wouldn't be where we are now!

May not have gone on to set the world alight but what he did for us is not to be underestimated.

And when Manager at Forest Green 1 win in 18.
We need a proven Manager to save us ,it's looking like the season before we went out of the league.
Fundamentally we have need a centre forward for two seasons and that's not been addressed, the loss of three midfielders this season has further weakened the team.

The next appointment which needs to be soon will be decisive as if we get this wrong it will impact on seasons to come and see us fall down the none league pyramid.
The Director of Football must take a lot of blame but that can be sorted at the end of the season. We are in the last chance saloon.
Forest Green were basically down before he set foot in the place. Everyone knows that.
Does everyone know what improvement he made?

He needs to go NOW or be told by the rest of the Board to stop interfering with playing matters.
Good plan - remove the CEO and bring in a 'manager' to oversee the Barrow and Manchester bases, keep tabs on finances, off-field strategy, planning & recruitment then direct daily football, coaching and media duties. All at a time of perceived crisis when the season is still in its first half. Ho, hum.

I think it would be charitable for anyone to suggest he made any improvement. A league 2 side struggling in League 1, virtually down already, very poor recruitment in the previous seasons (sound familiar?), players getting ready to leave and so must have been incredibly hard to motivate...all in all I would say he wasn't the wrong man, just a man there at the wrong time when nobody could have rescued them.
