Wyll was MOTM by a country mile.
Stanway is learning his trade and yes he makes mistakes and it costs us a goal.

Look at our goals against Oldham goalkeeper made a few mistakes.

The players Infront of him have far more experience.

Harper continues to run round shirking out of tackles, for a player who has so much experience he is a nearly man.

Sure I saw him running round looking for Asda trolleys but missing them.

Smith a had a stinker and Anderson poor.

Josh Gordon what he lacks in ability he more than makes up for in effort .

The last thing I want to say all this media crap has not helped.
We don't want to know what they are up to in training .

We see the results are seen on the field.
Totally agree with all of that

Harper has been woeful, hopefully one of the 1st out the door IF we can get rid

It’s all about opinions, harper took a stud in the face for the team right in front of the popular side which needed a bandage the other week, and puts his foot in for any challenger, for me he’s leagues apart from someone like Mahoney who has had one or two decent games all season.

On Stanway, Two moments of madness by two of the supposed best goalies in the world in the city v arsenal game, happens to any goalie, but as someone else mentioned he kept the score down yesterday, one of his reaction stops was split second from the strike by the Walsall attacker.

I don’t see any difference between Danny Rose and Andy Dallas.

I thought he looked good earlier in the season but I think he lacks self belief, not ideal in a season like we have had! As his Wikipedia page says: ."...he is an intelligent and versatile midfileder" but "he is a player who requires his confidence to be built up in order to play at his best."

I think we have several players who are better than they have looked during a chaotic season, who would prosper if we had a good manager and the right formation: Earing and Smith for example.

Harper before coming to Barrow had played 131 games at higher level clubs Ipswich,Birmingham,West Bromwich etc.

Some experience should have rubbed off.

I agree if we had a decent Manager things would be different.

There are so many charlatans in football and we seem to attract a few.

What I am fed up with is these people who keep saying "if we go down thats it, we will never come back up for years".
I'm of the opinion that as long as this board is there and the correct decisions are taken (as opposed to all the wrong decisions made this season) there is no reason why we shouldn't be in the promotion mix.
It's not as if we're potless, or the board, or an owner has walked out leaving us in sh!t street like has happened at some other clubs.
I know its hard but let's start having some positivity for the future.
I wouldn’t say it will be a long time necessarily but bigger clubs than us have gone down and taken years to come back up. Stockport, Wrexham and chesterfield and Notts County more recently. Even Carlisle with their fan base and backing aren’t necessarily going to come straight back up.

If we do go down which we probably will now, we need to make sure we get the right management and players in and are putting in decent performances and getting results, else crowds will drop even lower and interest will dwindle. People want to see a winning team and we will get higher gates in the national league than we are currently with a team serving up poor football and results as we are currently.

If though we’re not careful we could become another morecambe, Scunthorpe. Back to back relegations it’s happened to Carlisle albeit from league 1. The whole club needs a reset and change off the pitch as much as on it. That’s regardless of whether we stay up ur not which going by today would be an absolute miracle and almost a injustice.
I know it’s probably not priority number one, but I would like to see the academy come back. There are some decent players in and around Barrow who I’d like to think would care an awful lot more than these lot. George Thomason (who’s now playing for Wrexham) could’ve been a bluebird.

I think a reserve team is a must. We’ve got a few players not involved in the squad and who have returned from injury thrown straight back into the squad without any means of getting anywhere near match fit first. The likes of Powell on loan who hasn’t played for us hardly has gone back to Blackburn and played a couple of matches I’m sure I read?
Even Winterbottom etc have had no game time hardly and when called upon are thrust straight into the team cold, not ideal.

Even more annoying this
We were well in the game, probably even the better team until this stoppage, I honestly thought in that first ten minutes or so we were going to win. Then the stoppage happened and we went terrible (try not just kicking the ball onto Flints head lads!) and it really brought Walsall to life
Easy to now because we won Tuesday so you can understand not changing in a way but the worlds slowest back 3 idea needs scrapping as well, we looked a lot better when we’ve had 4 at the back for the majority of the games since Foley took over.
Also Fletcher is never a striker, obviously Gordon will play last two games anyway so it won’t matter now but if he does miss out for any reason I’d even rather have the clearly unfit Whitfield up there if needs be

They should have been absolutely fired up. Wyll Stanway has his critics but for me he kept the score down.
He did but then he also should’ve done better for the first and second, and in reality the saves you’d expect a competent keeper at this level to make, to quote Roy Keane that’s his job. He’s thrown too many in since the transfer talk whether or not that’s affected him or not…. Fleetwood, Chesterfield, Salford one at Grimsby just off the top of my head. I still would’ve given Winterbottom a run for his own head as much as anything.
I agree on Winterbottom; he’s deserved a chance before now, yes Stanway makes some great saves but he’s cost us plenty and his kicking is woeful. Not been the same since his injury
If Raglan is at all fit, even if it’s a case of needing injections to play or whatever then get him and McDonald in at centre back last two games and get MJ back in the middle of the park

Sorry Jim but this squad isn't good enough and hasn't been all season. Apart from the keeper i wouldn't be bothered at all if the rest never pulled a Barrow shirt on again.

I said to my mate at the time of the stoppage that we were looking the better team. That goalkeeper could see that as well-thats why he made up that false allegation-and it worked a treat.
I seem to remember something similar happening when we played Luton at Holker street a number of years back.

Williams hasn’t been great at centre back he’s better in midfield I think gives us a bit more presence but Raglan is another one just not good enough for this level. Too many mistakes for me admittedly he did improve before his injury. Macdonald has disappointed me too for someone of his experience doesn’t really lead or command at the back and our defensive record has got worse since he came. A real shame Harry Anderson got injured he did look to have quality. Overall though with Shipley/J Anderson we’re just weak on the left with Jackson on the right that’s if he’s fit after going off on Saturday. Powell must be really bad in training if he can’t get ahead of the other two! If Newby starts at wingback again it will amaze me, we could see two years ago he wasn’t capable but playing in a top half team he was covered.

You need defenders with BOTH pace and height, in the modern game.
