May he rest in peace.

Myles was always a cheery sort of guy with a welcoming word as I walked into the ground.

It will certainly be strange without him there next season.

We lose another one of the familiar faces around Holker St . What a shame.

I will tell you what sort of a bloke Myles was on an away trip when I was still a school boy my friend got travel sick and spewed all over his kecks,on our arrival Myles whipped him into town & bought him some new jeans,I also worked with him in K/C could chatter like the donkey from shrek when we talked about the football,what a man,what a character!

Dead right, in fact Myles could talk the back leg off the donkey from Shrek, that was part of what made him such a character.

Yes, a thoroughly decent bloke. Never knew him by name though Bingo's words immediately brought his image to mind. Always had a word and a smile for you, Barrow AFC through and through.

My lad knocks about with Ian! I was sad to hear the news when he rang me yesterday to tell me! Such a wonderful cheery character and will be sadly missed welcoming everyone in at the car park! Thinking of you Ian and Mary!.....Chris and Andy!

RIP Myles. Known of the family for many years being brought up in Dalton, and only a year or two older than Ian. Condolences to him and his mam at this time.

I am really sorry to hear of the passing of Myles. Always a friendly word and a damn nice fella too.

A real character we have lost there - always good-natured and he seemed so active and animated - you just never know the minute do you?

So sad to hear this.What a great character he was. Every-time i saw him as i was entering turnstiles he,d yell how grey my hair was turning. always made me smile..RIP Myles..Another face i.l miss.

Was only the Newport match I was having a good crack with myles,will be sadly missed.RIP Friend.

I always had a quick chat to Myles when I went in my car abd parked on the popular side car park. He was always waving his arms around like ground air crew at an airport, reminding people not to get run over I said to him one day, "Is that right Myles that you were sacked from being a traffic warden for being too tough" He took it in the right spirit and whacked me over the head.

It won't seem the same parking there anymore.

Rest is peace Myles. Maybe you can direct some of those rain clouds away that we always seem to get about 2.55 every Saturday.

Fond memories of my mate Myles, and a few scary ones. One Boxing day many years ago, outside, I think Macclesfield's ground, he had a screeching and choking Ian by the throat trying to force feed him turkey sarnies, and a New Years day, when I think we had just given Workington their first win of the season, in Workington but strangely on a park pitch not Borough Park(?) Myles took exception to a smartarse comment from one of a group of massive marra's, walked over and gave the guy a haymaker right on the jaw. The rest of us just stood there trembling - I honestly thought that we wouldn't leave Workington alive. And the Marra gets up, says "Happy New Year", and they walked off. Picking a fight with the linesman at Marine - Oh I could go on and on.

Myles, one in a million. Away games will never be the same. Miss you mate. Dave Turnough.
