Re: Sam Hibbert
Yeh give the lad a chance but would rather of got a experienced old head in I'm sick of hearing about budgets yes ours is ment to be low but bet its not the worst in the league we should be able to compete at this level as teams with similar or lower gates

Re: Sam Hibbert
I think DB brought in the defender he wanted in, in O'Donnel, this lad was never going to walk into the team & will probably be there as cover, the signing was most likely completed when O'Donnels injury was found to not be as bad as it might have been.
I agree though with T R S a former member of this forum though that Flynn has stepped up a notch or two & now looks a better player than he did pre-Christmas, good bit of the old "kick up the arse" & "we're looking to improve on the defenders we've got" treatment seems to have worked wonders.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Jesus this forum!--"bayliss is clueless"-"this lad is crap blah blah"-why dont you actualy support the club??? what will the new guy think after reading this drivel? this is no time to have a go at the club. Get behind them -we are in for a white knuckle ride to the end of the season-enjoy the ride.

The immutable law of forums
a) player signed leads to b) same, slightly negative response from certain folk leads to c) other folk donning their Superfan vests and having a go for not 'backing the side leads to d) Reg having a pop.
Add in players Dad's, directors, ex directors, TMF, ISC,BDF, an angry bloke who puts up signs and people who like to ruminate upon the vagaries of Barrovian life through the lens of Holker St as we hurtle towards eternal night.
Welcome to Barrow A.F.C Sam, despite the daftness , it's a great place to play football where people care about the the team, the town and each other. :flag:

Re: Sam Hibbert
The club make it so easy though! Having to play in a lower league teams away kit, signing players with no experience after banging on about signing experienced players, transfer embargos, vinny mukendis, hot dogs, shirt deals, rotherford united.Darcy3 wrote:You moan ,groan and snipe at the club at every opportunity , that's what I mean !!
Ill always support the club, doesnt mean i have to lick everyones arse.

Re: Sam Hibbert
I just don't get it though.
After wembley we signed loads of old past it players and had a terrible season. We vowed after that to get young ambitious lads and we did that and had a very good season .
The best young lads then went to bigger better clubs.
We opted for player with experience this season and bar a decent cup run weve had a shocking season and now weve gone back on the experienced trail again and we are signing players who didn't sign for Stockport.
What is our transfer policy? It keeps changing. How can we bring McEvily back and not Paul Tait?
