I see MickMike and Geoff Payne haven't commented on here as yet. Surely pointing to a Texan/Californian Amalgamation. ;)

The silhouette looks like out mate Peter H from the BDF, never thought he sounded American

be interesting to hear the board`s reaction at fridays (meet the manager)meeting ,as we have always been told they cannot tell us anything because of an alleged "non disclosure agreeement",if this does exist then why are they letting this (the investors offer) be put in the public domain?

i have always been sceptical about this "agreement" and i have always thought who really wanted it in place!,that`s if there ever was one!

" squeaky clean", members club, everything above board!

This "non disclosure" agreement was put in place by the interseted third party, so I suppose its up to them when/where/how/if the information is (ever) made available..

Now the deal is obviously dead in the water, maybe they've approached the Mail to put their spin on what happened.

Who knows, they may even be trying to upset the current relationship between the board and the fans even further by going public about what 'might have been' had they managed to overturn the current membership arrangements of the club & had managed to take control....

They'll know what we mean when we talk about "the soccer" though (well, OK, 'the sarker')
It all comes 'round again.

It is the Barrovian who launched and then withdrew an AFC takeover bid.

 The 'minimum' low seven-figure would be made up of an initial injection of around £250,000 which would be used to pay off some of the club's long-term debt, including their Furness building society mortgage.

 Significant five-figure monthly payments to meet operational costs over two years depending on the clubs finances.

 Wants to change club's ownership structure from a membership to a share capital structure to reflect his position as sole owner.

 Would create a general manger type role this person would serve as the face of the club.

 Casson's long-time friend, Edinburgh born Jamie reid who has held managerial roles at United biscuits and now runs an interior design business Stewart interiors would take on a managerial role in the short term.

 Casson would be chairman, two UK family members would be on the board, Reid, two Barrow based members and two season ticket holders. Would also be willing to let one of the current members stay on the board.

 Would review all existing contracts at the club. Would also open a new club shop on Dalton road.

That is a very basic summary taken from the Evening mails summary. It will no doubt be online later.
