Should of made it the same price as the pre season friendlies,
£5/£6 for adults no concession price
Kids free.

Its the lancashire cup, as ste said its a game that we arent really bothered if we lose and to be honest i could see chorley thinking the same.

May the best team lose......

But it isn't the same as the friendlies.

It's a competitive game in an official competition, albeit - like the FA Cup and FA Trophy - likely to be seen as a lower priority than the league this season by the owner.

Stated price seems reasonable and consistent and halving it would be unlikely to affect the attendance to any significant degree.

A tenner for a nothing game when we've got a home league game on Saturday...

Can see it shaving a few off the attendance, if someone has to chose between the two.

the lancashire cup shouldn`t even be mentioned with the FA Cup FA Trophy! yes it`s an official competition, but we will make a loss on it,i`d be surprised if we get more than 500!,we should get out of this competition as soon as possible,it`s extra games we could do without and we have the FA Trophy coming up where at least we can earn some reasonable income and possibly have a decent run (again a double edged sword).

i think the club should have charged no more than£5 and to be honest i`d rather attend a friendly!

Agree - somewhere between 350 and 600 I'd guess.

Halving the admission price wouldn't change that I suspect.

Disagree - good game for fringe players/players coming back from injury to get valuable game time. We've got a big enough squad to
cope with these extra games. Anyway, we should be looking to win games & progress in all competitions - winning games brings confidence & is a nice habit to have.

Thanks to the wonder of googlepedia, I now know that with two wins we're equal 16th on the leaderboard of Lancs Junior Cup wins alongside such luminaries as:

Bells Temperance
Blackpool
Clitheroe
Colne Dynamoes
Earlestown
Fleetwood
Nelson
New Brighton
Rossendale United
Skerton

Meanwhile, Charrrrleh are top of the pops with 15 trophes in the cabinet. I don't think anyone would be too arsed if they overcame us on their way to a sixteenth, would they? In fact, if it wasn't for a bunch of blazers in Leyland, would anybody be bothered if the whole competion was scrubbed?

Apart. From the lancashire cup I'd normally. Agree but this season. we don't need distractions it has. To be promotion we need. To go up this season. there are tough. teams in this. league we can't miss. out! :scarf:

".........the long trip to Cumbria". Good grief, they're just down the road. The writer clearly gets nervous the minute he loses sight of Rivington Pike.

It's an hour and a half to Barrow from my house. :(

Still, making the long drive away from the Pike (Which will be my guide to home)

Personally would love to win this cup again, it's a piece of silverware to add!
