Got to agree, Need experience back between the sticks
What evidence is that based on? We've won every game since Taylor got a chance and prior to that McMillan was in dreadful form.

Also, what experience are we talking about? OK he's the senior of the two keepers but he's hardly had an illustrious career having spent most of it bumming around at Southport doing not a great deal.

None of this is meant as a dig at McMillan at all but I don't understand the calls for him to be brought back, Taylor has been fine.

Not quite true Kieran, looked out of position for the Tamworth free kick.
We have different views, not a problem, I hope your right and he keeps 15 clean sheets on the trot.
However I don't feel comfortable with him in nets. I don't think he is good enough.
Nice to have a healthy debate. If he doesn't concede in the next 3 games I buy you a beer. Does that seem fair?

No need to buy me any beer, I just disagree that there is any need to bring McMillan back thats all.

I don't think there was a great deal Taylor could've done about the Tamworth free-kick, he was maybe slightly too far over but thats being ultra critical and it was a good strike from their lad.

I'm in agreement. I don't think Taylor is the keeper to take us forward from next season onwards but he is the better option of the two we have available to us. McMillan has proved to be shaky and unreliable. keep him as back up until the summer and then let him go.

Agree with that. Replacements elsewhere are for another discussion.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Barrow 2 - 1 Solihull
Cook (2)

Attendance 1242

My two penneth on the keepers for what little its worth, neither are good enough long term and this is a position where we definitely need someone new. Taylor is far from perfect but we have not lost since he has been in so keep him in

Slightly off-topic on the subject of keepers I notice our (alleged) target of every manager since Phil Wilson, Adam Collin is now firmly established as Rotherhams' No.1.
As for Saturday I'll be happy with a scrappy 1-0 win. as mentioned elsewhere results far more important now. Open up a gap again and Fylde may start to feel the pressure (everyone of their back four were booked at Guiseley). Vital to cut off Bogle's supply and he may be less effective. He is in the England 'C' back-up squad next week so may want to keep his powder dry as they say.

Time we gave the thrashing we were promised:

8 - 0

1,304 in attendance plus a load more listening around the world on BBC RC (thankfully Holker Street has facilities and we won't have to listen to Wukkie eh!)
