So why no mention of the proposed steering group for the ground development?

Why no mention of the total joke that is the merchandising?

Why no mention of the criteria for signing players i.e.buying into the dream?

no mention of the meeting in America to ratify the transfer policy!

"saviour" yes for now,but if he (you) leave where`s the strategy to carry on?

Trouble is now by saying he`s got a month (edmo)it leaves everthing in the air what will the players think now?where does this ridiculous statement leave the fans what`s the baseline for success or better still let the forum decide or hey let`s go to the evening mail and have a poll! :(
Blue Nige get a grip man! Embarrassing! Edmo has a month to get some decent performances together! Is that too much to ask? Fans know exactly what is expected! Players know what is expected! Its not rocket science? What is left in the air? :?
so i take it that you think it`s a good strategy to create a problem when 2 weeks ago there wasn`t one and you made a good point defending edmo!

don`t think it`s me who needs to get a grip!

Theoretically we could be in the league in a few years but it would take a lot more money investing. When Fleetwood went up they spent £100k on Vardy which was unheard of in non league but when you look back now what a deal that was
Would take proper investment on and off the pitch to gain league football

Splashing out on Bogle would have been a good start.

Ive asked this a few times before and never had a definitive answer, whilst obviously not being short of a bob or 2, does PC have the financial clout to enable us to do "a Fleetwood"? What is he actually worth and is he willing to do a Fleetwood? All rather personal questions but these are the things we need to know to get our perspectives right on what is and isn't achievable.

It's a good point Mickey. Our expectations, spending power, ambition and player acquisition should be questioned, as I don't think they align. Would PC be happy with a mid table finish baring in mind we are a year ahead of schedule? Very confusing. As for fans, well most don't really have a clue and want the world. This was still the same when we were on the bones of our behinds. What we should expect is full effort from each and every player and an improvement in our play, considering we are now full time. If Edmo goes do our expectations change?
Let's hope Paul Casson does have what it takes, because we all want to know what it is too, including Edmo.

Id rather the money was mostly put into making the club self sustainable, the way it has always been run our level has been conference north or whatever you want to call it. Invest in the club, fans, town and to an extent the team and we can raise our 'level' to league 2 maybe.

I'd prefer that than flying up to league 1 with PCs cash and come crashing down like we've seen many other clubs do. Many Barrow fans went mad about Fleetwood and Crawley, " it will never last" was a popular quote if I remember rightly.

Andy Pilley took over Fleetwood when they were a park team virtually, unlike us a national league club. He said that he would invest millions in the cub and be in the football league in a few years. Most on here slagged him off and called them a plastic club . He kept his word, spent his money and look at where they are now. Don' t you feel foolish now. What has Casson done.......... Sod all apart from talk shite in the mail and ridicule his manager in public. For the benefit of certain people on here, this is just my opinion.

If I am honest. Ive not seen much change at the club off the pitch and the Ground is basically the same as it was years ago. Apart from the odd meeting with companies about the grounds renovation not much has changed.

I think Paul Casson and the Casson Family Inc would benefit highly from sending someone to Fleetwood for the week to see how they run things. They built their stadium up year after year. Even Fylde look years ahead of us in terms of their plan for football league by 2022

The chap who posts on here as Colin Appleton isn't Paul Casson, I've exchanged PMs with the man who is to be known as Colin Appleton, and he's not our chairman. And before you ask, I don't know if Paul posts on here.

When PC first took over the club Jamie Reid went to Fleetwood and met with Andy Pilley a former member of this forum.

I am aware of this. However I feel they need to put someone like Casson Jnr down there on some type of "work experience" for a week because off the pitch the club is stuck in a rut. They need someone with a proven sales history who is after a career in this type of thing not someone being shoved in there on their name.

It will be interesting to see whether Edmo bows to the pressure and will give Young Newby a start.

It was clear in his interview that PC was making a direct reference to Newby when he mentioned he wanted to see exciting young local players given a chance. While that may be what a lot of people want to see, I think you are getting into dangerous territory when the chairmen tries to influence team selection and tactics, it's never gonna end well.

I also think he reads and is influenced by this forum, that's also dangerous as it's always people who are unhappy that are more likely to post which can give a distorted view.

But anyway it was obvious he was referring to Newby so it will be interesting read into Efmo's mindset to see he caves in to PC's wishes or stands firm and backs his own judgement.
