So this steering group is a thing now?
I think Rich means the steering group of the trust a former member of this forum, not the ground steering group that was meant to be happening if thats what you mean.

Not really sure how anyone can see this proposed Q & A session in a bad light to be honest, the dictatorship comment doesn't make any sense at all.

Ahhh I wasnt aware of one for the trust.

Any chance the trust could ask for a proper QnA thing in bar with Paul casson then?

Is this the original subject more of a "what's your favourite cereal? " matt Dodd style thing.

Al, this was honestly (no matter what some seem to think) just an opportunity for people to ask a few questions to various club officials/players, if it was to be carried on would have depended on the success of this first session. Ask whatever you want, anything, I'm sure if it gets too personal or something that the club prefer to keep "in house" we wont get an answer - that wouldn't change if it was held in the X Bar in front of an audience of 1,000's. Also please remember, not everyone would want to stand up in front of people and ask questions so this was their opportunity.
It was simply something we tried to do as people had asked us if it were possible, no hidden agenda's, no dictatorship, no select few.....I honestly don't know what the problem is, it's as if people want to pick holes in everything.

We'd welcome any questions but we can't tell the club what they have to answer can we? if it fall's flat on it's arse - we've at least tried.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

It would be good if we could maybe list our Questions/Concerns by a certain time scale present them to the club and then have them come back to us at a Q&A session for Trust members to attend at the club.

But if this is the way it has to happen so be it! At least it's a step in the right direction, and well done by both sides in making it happen.

Can you ask him to name one thing that has been added to the 'match day experience' for the standard fan?

Soory Al, wasn't directed at you but more the stupid remarks about a "dictatorship" I was more referring to your question about asking whatever you want - that's what we'd like but as I say, we can't make the club answer questions they don't want to.

Basically, people asked for it, we set it up and now we're getting stupid remarks thrown at us......if we hadn't done it we'd be accused of all sorts of other shit! no-win-no-win...
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Sorry you're upset Ian but what else can you call it perhaps an "elitist clique ",why can't all trust members be involved, your reasons for not doing this are an insult to people's integrity!
How come it was alright to talk to everyone at the forum but not now because God forbid there might be awkward questions perhaps we should start putting the truth on the forum then! :sentoff:

FFS Nige, We've tried to do what people asked for and now your throwing insults about.....it's NOTHING to do with an "elitist clique" nothing at all.

I'm not saying PC wouldn't want to talk to everyone....where is that even being suggested? why don't you ask the club if he will hold a meet the chairman session? that's all we've done so what's stopping you doing the same?

Regarding all "Trust members" - that is EXACTLY what we're trying to do by asking your questions for you.

Do you know what? I really can't be arsed with the shit some people want try and find in everything that is done on here.

Are you deliberately missing the point of this? These trust representatives are just ordinary trust members who have been elected to represent all members. They are not some elitist clique. Comments about dictatorships / sanitised Q/A session- are just ridiculous. This session doesn't need a room full of members. This is a good move and hope it's the start of many.

Why do certain people always think there is a hidden agenda!! We as Trust members voted in a committee to represent us and if you don't trust them to do that put your names forward for election at the next agm!

Nige,
Why don't you just ask the trust to ask a question for you. (As requested in first post on this topic)
The question could be "Paul, any chance you could do a question thing for all fans in the bar so we can come along and ask some questions?"

He will say yes or no.

Everyone's happy.
