Andy Cook
Re: Andy Cook
Much rather he join a League 2 club than one of our VN rivals.

Re: Andy Cook
He should have been signing a new deal in January
Re: Andy Cook
Ross Hannah's Chester contract is almost up.In an interview with the local rag he said his 'future is in the balance'. He has scored over 20 goals this season used for most of it as a lone striker. Fans ,however, feel his best displays have been as half of a twin strike force and rumours have him joining Lincoln to link up with Rhead. To me he would be the ideal foil for Cooky a move which might persuade him to stay. They were in the same Grimsby squad with appearances limited by tactics and rotation. Both have thrived since leaving.

Or joining Barrow to link up with Rhead, perhaps?SKIPPER wrote:Fans ,however, feel his best displays have been as half of a twin strike force and rumours have him joining Lincoln to link up with Rhead.
Re: Andy Cook
If there's an offer on the table from a league 2 club side, he's bound to take it and I don't blame him one bit. All this "he owes us" - what does he owe us for exactly?

Re: Andy Cook
As I see it, the lad has come in on a two year contract when he was a bit down on luck/for/confidence. He's played well and scored some crucial goals. He's 26 I think, in his prime and almost out of contract.
If other, higher league clubs are sniffing and looking to offer him better terms, then he'd be a fool not to at least have a look at it.
If Andy does choose to go, then I'd wish him the very best of luck. If, on the other hand, he chooses to stay I'd be a very happy fan indeed!

Cooky has left once before and will have learnt a lesson about how the grass is not always greener.
I think Barrow and Cox will possibly convince him to stay. which I hope he does.
He owes us nothing having performed when others hid.
He kept playing and scoring when others melted into the background.

Re: Andy Cook
Paul Casson on radio Cumbria now, said he's put a deal down on the table and told Cookie to go away and think about it, but looking for a definitive answer from Cookie when he speaks to him straight after the game against Wrexham.

Re: Andy Cook
Just an idea but if we knew cookie was going before the last game or during then we'd be able to give him a proper Holker St send off. Don't want him to go like and by the sounds of things we could be a top a top 5 club next season, with Andy Cook as skipper
Re: Andy Cook
Stay Cookie U know it makes sense. Better with what U know that wat maybe. If you decide to leave then we all wish U the best

Why the hell would Cook be skipper? Absolutely no chance of that

Re: Andy Cook
Not unheard of for a striker/captain and if going by his enthusiasm this season, then why not give it a go
