Nice little quote off Mr Cook in The Non League Magazine "I would love to play well against Barrow and hopefully score against them because of the reaction I got off their fans when I signed for Tranmere"

Never learns that lad, that's twice now!
Who cares, he can say what he likes he is still just another non league player at the end of the day. He must have been reading the forum cos I doubt anyone will have spoken directly to him since he signed.

Do you mean fans or money, if its fans it wont come into play and money the answer is zero.

Yeah money mate, was thinking it might be a decent gate with only 2nd game in the season, 3000+ who knows? As for cooks statement well he's got to say something I suppose and show his allegiance to his new club. All despite of the fact that some (most) of the away support, applauded him week after week for 3 seasons

This will be my first visit to Liverpool in over a decade. I am making a day of it, with a fourth trip to the Walker Art Gallery and a maiden explore of the newly opened Museum of Liverpool. A fantastic English city, and well deserving of its recent European Capital of Culture title.

Should be a decent attendance for the game if both teams get off to a winning start to the season, there was 4,600+ plus for the game last season I cant see that attendance being beaten :scarf:

I’m intrigued – is there really such a thing as an Elton Welsby statue? No - say it aint so.

Tranmere averaged over 5,000 last season so with it being their first home game of the season i would expect a fairly big crowd. 325 from Barrow

Been looking forward to this one, great visit last season.pity it wasnt on a saturday really as i think we would have taken 500. On Cook,he criticised us last time he left, lets give him grief i say.

A fantastic English City eh,well I'm pretty sure the title of "European Capital of Culture" title will mean sod all to the miserable living conditions that prevail in Toxteth east and west-Anfield,Heyworth and Queens Road.

He's not the brightest button is he? :D
His 'Bird Brain' intelligence, his far reaching comments + his 'Shish Kebab Belly' (nearly as big as his mouth!) should attract the mirth of many of our quick witted fans on his return to Holker Street. And I'm sure a few will be taking the pi** this forthcoming Tuesday... ;)
