Feel so sorry for Joel especially with these higher profile games coming thick & fast when he's feeling at his lowest ebb, Come back stronger bud.

Shame for Joel. I hope he will make a full recovery.

Not only do we need a keeper who isn't cup-tied but also can be, with us.

Really bad time to get such an injury, but look at Andy Parry.. 6 weeks after similar operation and looks to be on the road to recovery, albeit a long rehabilitation needed. With a good orthopaedic surgeon and Sean Riley ,I'm sure joel will make a full recovery.... who knows his first game back could be in the football league..

So sorry to read this. A real disappointment for a very talented young 'keeper and disruption for our settled defence.

Be back with us soon, Joel. Wishing you all the very best in your recovery.

some will be happy on here, gutted for the lad as he is a decent keeper best we have had for years if not decade. He will also miss the FA Trophy Final
Get well soon Joel lad.

I'm sure some have doubted him this season, but to say some will be happy that a young lad has done his cruciates is a bit much. I wasn't one of those doubting him btw.

Could hear his screams on the highlights. Can tell it was a bad one. Speedy recovery.

If we're going for the league like most think we are. Do we want a decent keeper?

Real shame for the lad
Plenty of good keepers sat on the bench? Sorry but that's a poor comment.

Are you suggesting then that there are no good keepers that aren't playing regular first team football?
That sounds a bit ridiculous.

Ryan Yates is a good player but wasn't playing first team football

That is an absolute shocker and from such a seemingly innocuous passage of play.

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for Barrow’s No.1 - we will miss you Joel.
