Tricky tie either way - but I'm sure they'll be thinking the same about us.

So this could be the most perfect draw (for me). I forgot to check on cup dates and booked to come back for the Chester game. I have a mate who lives in the area, so flights all booked when my Mum tells me.
Of course, an easier draw could have been had and I would have been happy with a home draw, etc. but being selfish this could work out perfectly

Chelmsford City are not a bad outfit and have been knocking on the National League door for a few years. TR form at the moment is a little mixed so I wouldn't book an away day in the Wirral just yet. This may be wishful thinking as Chelmsford is less than an hour down the A12 from me.

I'd be more worried about Chelmsford if we got them, Rovers return to the football league is all they are interested me thinks.

The Chelmsford v Tranmere replay is on Wednesday night.
I guess Tranmere aren't too happy about the replay but difficult to know how interested they'll be in that game?

This on the FA Website:
"Tranmere Rovers face the winners of the fifth-round replay between Chelmsford City and Barrow, while Braintree Town will entertain either Dulwich Hamlet or Macclesfield Town".
Only the three basic mistakes that I can see within a single sentence. Is this being posted by the NWEM on the FAs behalf I wonder?

Re: FA Trophy Draw (away to Tranmere/Chelmsford)
I have mixed feelings about this tie. I wanted to visit Chester on the 25th for our league tie there and spend the weekend sight seeing. However, I've never been to Prenton Park so it would be nice to meet Tranmere in the next round also.
This quarter final tie means it could be another midweek game against Chester and a quick look at our fixture list means they're becoming more frequent - which could result in a fixture pile up towards the end of the season.
I've never been happy with 'games in hand' on our opponents either - would much rather have the points in the bag!
Like I say...'mixed feelings'.
