I never understand why people don’t just name names?
And what good would that do. It would just turn a few supporters against whichever players are disillusioned and that's the last thing our new manager needs as he tries to build morale within what was looking a very fragile group of individuals until Moore left. Who knows some of them might even change their minds in a month or so.

Few mentioned on Twitter were nieskens, moussa and Hughes. Think the reasoning behind it was due to them not getting paid during the close season. Which I'm pretty sure is standard practice in this league isn't it? Although the 2 people creating the rumours do like to damage the club at every opportunity they can get so wouldn't read too much in to it.

I liked Paul Cox but I think if he wants Barrow players he will have to get them within a few weeks and I think he is intentionally unsettling them, that will change in a few weeks once Ady settles in.
Probably having a go at the owner.
In all honesty. bringing in fresh players may be good.
I would think Moussa has had alot of time to think and maybe Cox has got to him and others let's see

That’s down to agent and player not the club, ARH had a problem with this as well.

So did I Pedro!! It's in the past there's no going back, we can't change what's happened. But we all can get fully behind Ady Pennock and the team and see where it takes us!!

It wouldn’t do much good you are right. Sorry.

Still think if we somehow manage to get a fee for Liam Hughes it will be one of the most incredible things Barrow have done in a long time

Deffinitley. Also not our problem the players can't budget properly to accommodate the time without pay.

I disagree. When your colleagues are getting paid a full 52 weeks and you're not its bound to [SwearFilter] you off. If the club wants to keep players happy they need to avoid this sort of inconsistency in their contracts. Players are always going to be on different salaries, but this sort of thing can't be conducive to a happy dressing room.

To be fair to ARH, he got paid for doing nothing of note for the entire season so I can see how he would have expected to have been paid for the off months. Should have hired a decent agent to sort things though.
Moore, Harrison, Hughes, ARH, Moussa, Nieskens are six that I heard.

Most players don't get paid for the full 52 weeks at this level. If they had the intelligence to read the contract they was signing then that's their fault. Or their agents for not negotiating a better deal

But if a certain amount of games triggered a renewal on the same terms that is what they signed up to- a hangover from Conf North maybe. And who's to say Moussa, for example, wasn't offered better terms and a longer contract but knocked it back while his agent (who isn't Harvey's) hawked him round southern clubs.
I think the club could possibly have had more foresight but the reaction (because I don't think the player or agent had looked at it properly either) wasn't right, which was to pillory the club through social media by every channel, mate, contact, possible. The trouble is that opinions and positions then became very entrenched and we are still in the fallout from that, with other players dragged in. If you are their representatives, for whatever reason that appears to be the clubs fault. If you are the club, it's the representatives. Both post one here, directly or indirectly. The truth is somewhere in between IMO.
Different managers often have dealings with particular agents and as we have a new manager, I fervently hope it will mean a clean slate on and off the pitch as I have never had to consider the workings of a football club and agents as much as the last 3 months. I would like to get back to watching football and hope everyone will stop fighting like ferrets in a sack.
Hopefully some will stay and we get a few new signings!

I think you've just about nailed it there Pedro
Regarding some players not getting paid for a full 52 weeks. Firstly I'm unsure about that and even if I found out I probably wouldn't be able to post details of contracts. Secondly, and others have said - why would a player (and agent) look over a contract and be happy to sign it then kick off later in the season? Surely such a glaring sentence in that contract of "you will be paid X amount of months" would be easy enough for anyone to notice.
Where in all this does it become an agents fault? Seems like they get the best of both worlds...

Some mercaniries see the poition the club are in , and are looking to feather thier own nests at the expense of the club . sHowing no allegiance, we simply have to. Move on , if you don't want to be here then go.

Have a few hours spare this morning on my way to pick up Lionel Messi from the airport - so thought I would put a few things straight.
I dont represent any other players at the club other than Dave Nieskens (who loves it at barrow) and I have just started working with liam hughes (post transfer request) - and to be fair to liam atleast he has been honest enough to put a transfer request in and wanting to move.
Correct, i do represent ARH - but yet again - atleast he was honest in the fact he wanted to move on.
Yes, there was an issue from his contract - but I had zero to to do with that deal when it was negotiated. I believe this was all done by alex himself (hence why he may have missed a few things)
What i did do was once alex informed me that he wanted to leave barrow was work closely with andrew to ensure that all parties got a deal they were happy with. This was all done very professionally between andrew and myself and between us we got things done quickly.
I work FOR arh - if a client wants out and a new challenge, its my job to make that happen - if not someone else will.
As for me "running around Aldershots ground waving a transfer request around" (as funny as that sounds) I am sad to say that is completely false. I spent the game sat alone in the stand keeping dry. I did however have a chat and a pint pre match with someone who I consider a friend who I have known for a number of years, and showed him proof of al rays transfer request (which he already seemed to know about anyways)
As much as it may dissappoint some people on here - (so people have someone easy to blame for rumoured player unrest amongst other things - suprised i wasnt blamed for the roof blowing off) - I have no connection to any other players at the club. I dont actively persue new clients at the club, as I much prefer being impartial and having no interest in the club other than what happens on the pitch as a fan.
The facts are that 95% of players at National League level have agents - barrow players included - some agents are good, some are absolute scallywags. To suggest that I have anything to do with any other players wanting to leave (its that is true??) Is completely false.
I have no relationship in place with AP - never spoken with the fella in my life, and have no intention to actively approach the club with players.
Its easy to troll people from behind a key board. Anyone has a problem then come talk to me at a game. U dont have to like me, but I will always give u a straight answer.
Hopefully that clears a few myths flying around here.
Much Love
