That's quite a cull that!
More severe than I expected with potentially just six players onboard. But if we can't move some of the others on we may be left with another problem.
One thing for sure is the manager will be able to mould his own squad within budget parameters of course.

I’d had kept Jones (as a left back not a centre midfielder) and Gomis who could do well alongside a proper partner.......but it might well be the case that they wanted to leave.
Other than that it’s great we are having a proper clear out, it was a real worry they’d take the easy option and just retain most of them especially those already under contract. Hopefully Holty’s deal is only as a player in an emergency and is mostly coaching based. Surprised Dixon’s agreed to stay as a number 2 so fair play to him for that

5 contracted players are available for transfer.

No but if we can't shift some of the under contract players on who are now unwanted here and we don't find clubs for them. Then that surely leaves us with a very disillusioned player or two!!

When it says available for transfer it could be a free transfer it just means we then wouldn’t have to pay up the rest of there contract

I hope so as Arnold was nothing special when he came in, hopefully bit of competion is good for us. As for Pedro's comment I must agree Arnold is Adi's boy so Dixon will have to work hard in pre season to impress.

The only one I would have changed would be Arnold to be put on the transfer list too. Keep Dixon and get a more experienced keeper/goalkeeping coach.
Hopefully that will see the back of the players who don't want to be here.

The only disappointment for me is Dan Jones. Not a noticeably good player, but adequate. His throw ins are a serious attacking threat, and should be seriously considered keeping at this level.

Understand that but DJ was part of a pretty ineffective midfield and that has been our main weakness these past couple of seasons.
