Donovan gone...

[russell_anderson]

I'll be amazed if he survives a season at Stevenage. Even our better players over the last couple of seasons (Anderton, Williams and Bennett) have struggled when moving into league football and this lad wasn't anywhere near as good as any of those 3.

Williams, Bennett, Anderson were playing their best stuff for us. Haven’t followed them, but have any of them got better?

Makoma is all about his age/potential.

Anderton played a game or 2 for Blackpool but then disappeared for the rest of the season, not even making the subs bench. Williams made one or 2 appearances for Rochdale before being a sub and then was loaned to Lincoln where he never got further than the subs bench. Surprisingly to me, Bennett did the best of the 3 making a fair number of starts for Carlisle but was more often a sub. Makoma is younger but, I've seen him put one great pass through to set up a goal from Luke James but little else positive when I've seen him although to be fair that's only a few matches plus most of the video highlights.

Cracking young lad got a lot of skill and i hope we got a sell on. Good luck to him

There will be no sell on as he was a free agent we got a fee due to him being under 23 and because we offered him a new deal. Fee was made by a tribunal
