Our form isn’t great to be honest with 3 wins from the last 12. Not been helped by all our injuries but must be the same at other clubs. Hope things improve.

Re: BARROW V BARNET match thread
Very, very poor. The sort of performance we frequently had to witness last season.
We've been sussed out massively, teams just need a few bigger players in their team and keep their shape when we're in possession and they'll be fine.

Popular side since '03.

Boys v men - in an appalling mis-match.
Nobody in their right mind would pay £15 to watch that.

Re: BARROW V BARNET match thread
Had to leave early, too frustrating.
A. Defence. Swiss cheese. Too small. Need 2 physical, big C-H's.
B. Offence. Trying to walk ball into net. Can't remember a shot, at least any on-target.
Barrow AFC: Home of worlds most expensive boiler. (£4 Million)

Barnet outplayed us all game. They had us worked out from the off. Should have been 4 or 5. Really really poor today
Just say no to VAR

Left early. Best decision I made all day.

Re: BARROW V BARNET match thread
That hurts. After some of the sparkling football we have played so far this season, today's performance was like something from the dead zone. As has happened too often, basic errors led to both goals and after that it was flat and lifeless as all belief drained from the team. There wasn't the slightest sign that we could do what Chorley did last week and launch a fightback as we showed no spirit at all.
This now becomes the biggest challenge so far of Ian Evatt's management pedigree, as he has to get a very decent bunch of players back on track. It is hard to believe that that's the same team that has done well for much of this season, as today was a shocker. There's probably some truth in the idea that other teams have "worked us out" but that doesn't fully account for what happened today. Us not performing at all is the biggest reason.

The troops on the park are lacking self belief and leadership on the park too.
Holker Street is no place for hiding also and that's what some are doing.

Re: BARROW V BARNET match thread
To be fair we were playing some decent football in the first half but Jones was naive by the touchline and then slipped to let his man past for the first goal. The ball should’ve been put out for a throw but, as as often the case with this team, he tried to play himself out of trouble. I think IE needs to take a long hard look at Jones playing centre-back, he might be happy to play there but he’s a long way from being comfortable playing there. I said after the Salford game that by playing Jones at CB we’re compromising 2 positions, I still think this is the case. Get him back to LB where his strengths lie.
Rooney got caught in possession for the 2nd, once again probably a bit guilty of over playing at the wrong time again.
For the rest of the game we had plenty of the ball but not enough ideas or cutting edge. Playing nice flowing football is all well and good but we don’t seem to have a plan b......it’s still better than last season though I’m not to despondent.
Roll on Tuesday....
