Yes was very strange today. As with every Sat, ticket printed, two turnstiles Open, perfect. But today with a larger crowd expected ‘one turnstile’ open back of Popular Sude. Two stewards there, but did not tell queuing fans tickets were not being taking until tempers were being tested. I waiting in 75 yard queue until five yards to go to say Eventbrite tickets were not being taken and to walk around ground to the Ticket taking Reception. Waited in long queue there to be told by the hard working lady to go to Main Reception for enveloped tickets. Missed the first seven mins of the game! If that is to be the case in the future it would have been better to start this after the Christmas games. Last week when there were only 581 of us turning up in those conditions it would have been harder to take. Given all this it was a great performance...looking forward to Sat...but takingcash this time!!
Let's hope the new owners just bring a bit of prefesionalisn to the club. But it'll be the same old poor excuses and nothing will change.
Exactly, poor old excuses such as above ("we only had 2 of the 8 turnstiles occupied and the stewards were told not to take s/ticket or online tickets but changed our mind in regards to the concession turnstile entry with ten minutes to go), they would gain more respect if they said *we messed up and apologise that a number of fans missed the start of the game* Boxing day normally is a larger gate and the planning should have been better, but as they say hindsight normally has 20/20 vision.

What was being monitored?
The designated away turnstile on Wilkie Road was closed today so away fans had to enter the ground via the grandstand entry turnstiles.
How was an announcement made of 85 Fylde fans at the game when entry was through turnstiles allowing anybody through them?

It's a quote I heard from a steward by the popular side, whilst waiting in line, the question was asked why the gate wasn't open for tickets as normal, the reply was "due to recent attendances, the crowds/entrees are being monitored more closely by the club"

Any crowd above average, we always seem to struggle to manage getting fans in quickly and smoothly. Why is this? What needs to be done? People queuing 20 mins and missing first 10 mins for a 1580 off crowd is not great.

Was told by a steward attendances were being investigated and monitored. As has been stated earlier, notice sign should have been posted at car par entrance regarding people with tickets having to join Que, which stretched back to HS when i arrived. Fantastic performance from the lads. Unlucky not to take the 3 points.

Investigated and monitored for what? We had fans late in for a crowd of 1580 odd. It’s not ideal is it? I’m not knocking the job, but we always seems to struggle any time there is a bigger than average crowd and I’m just asking why can we never seem to get this sorted out?
There are numerous ways for tickets now. Season tickets, Pre bought, Pre bought and collect, eventbrite and cash on the gate. All accepted on any turnstile. Is it time to allocate turnstiles for cash and turnstiles for tickets?

Although I wasn't close enough to hear the dialogue (because I was stuck in a fahooking massive queue) it did seem that a 'senior' steward came to the gate and the issue was explained to him by one of the other stewards. I thought he was about to say 'let's be sensible and get everyone inside for the start of the game'...but that didn't happen. He said something, and then walked away. Thought I overheard a steward say that the club was losing money because season tickets were being duplicated so the club were monitoring through the turnstiles

Missed the first ten minutes. I won't be back for the rest of the season.

That's the whole point, there was no communication regarding this when the club seems very active on social media, so arriving at the same time as every other home game this season (14.45.14:50) and taking twenty minutes to get in wasn't ideal. Personally speaking, won't let a thing like this put a downer on a great game, and saying you won't attend again coz of it is spitting your dummy out a bit.

Always the case when we get a few floating fans along; we either mess up on or off the pitch to ensure they don’t want to come back

It's not hard is it?
Just need a dedicated turnstile for season ticket holders and prepaid tickets. No money changes hands and turnstile counts the number of people.
Board need to sort this one. We don't have many fans to lose
