IE has said that Blackburn still have a right of recall in January despite the season long commitment. Or have they already agreed not to do that?
If IE says there's a break clause in the loan agreement then there probably will be. The fact that it is a season long loan makes things a little better. Again the issue is not that Rovers will simply pull him, its if another League club wants to have him and then is prepared to gazump the terms of our current deal. However, in these circumstances where the deal is season long the views of the player also need to be factored in. So if Matt Platt is happy with us the chances of him leaving are probably a little lower. Unless somebody is prepared to bid for him on a permanent basis of course. There aren't too many out there that would want to or be able to make that investment in January however (I think he's probably a high 5 or possibly even 6 figure asset).

So as my tea mug says "keep calm and carry on".
If Blackburn wanted to move Platt on loan to a League 1 team for the rest of the season, I doubt very much that Platt would have a say in the matter.

Harrison needs 90 minutes v Atherton. He has not had much game time other than late substitutions. There is not a player I want to see scoring goals more than him.

Agree with you on this Jonty, he might be finished as a player at this level but until he’s used for more than ten minutes at the end of games we’re not really going to know. Trouble is he’s not going to get more than this with us on this run (and rightly so) I would absolutely love him to grab us a couple of late goals though.
The game this weekend should give him an opportunity to show IE he’s worth holding onto.

I’m still hopeful Byron can make one or two eat humble pie.

Agree.
He's clearly a squad player who will play a small part over the season. I don't get the clamour or demand for him to be banging them in, oddly high expectations of him.

i'm not sure if Ian Evatt was just watching the match, checking out opposing teams (unlikely as we play them both late in the season) or watching any particular player - but he was at the Chesterfield v Yeovil game on Tuesday according to their forum. I can't imagine there are too many Chesterfield players left worth trying to take though.
(I think he still lives in Chesterfield(?) so was probably just watching the game)

Hardly anybody from Chesterfield bothered watching the game, according to their forum. They're not happy bunnies over there, already contemplating life in the National North.

It's an even more depressing read than the Wrexham forum was before they won their last 2 games.

Rovers wont want platt back......yet. They have mulgrew out on loan at wigan if needed and as a member of roverstalk forum the suggestion is rovers are delighted he is playing so well with barrow.

I bet Harrison is really chuffed that you have ended his career at our level Ian. His xmas card is on it's way to you wishing you well also. 😉
