I think it would be a bit of a kick in the teeth to those who have shelled out hundreds of pounds on a season ticket to not be let in, but lads who might not even be fans and have been paid for their work be allowed in.

If it's behind closed doors, it's no one. First allowed in should be those who have paid. We can do thank you gestures at a later time when capacity increases.

This is a quote from Carlisle CEO Nigel Cribbens

“Last week we were looking at the Barrow game (3rd October) for fans to be allowed back in, but since then things have accelerated & it now looks like it could be brought forward & fans could possibly be allowed back in sooner”

I guess its a case of watch this space.

Aye, if folk who have volunteered for 20+ years aren’t allowed in then some bloke who dropped off a portaloo can go without too.

If someone hadn't dropped off a Portaloo, everyone would have to go without.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we never see a full return to normality the way this government is going.
Its becoming all to obvious that Dominic Cummings is never going to allow mass social gatherings.

Just tell him you're driving to Barnard Castle to test your eyesight

Apparently that is allowed under COVID-19 regulations

Having been in town tonight in licensed premises and seen the total lack of discipline ,social distancing and general consideration and respect by a large number of drunk /rowdy young people who quite frankly don’t give a toss for us older people at risk during this pandemic as long as they have a good time I feel we are going to be suffering from pandemic restrictions for a long time.Cant blame the authorities for restrictions .Covid idiots so selfish which resulted as expected in older people going home early as we not comfortable in such surroundings..I love football but must feel safe at venue .

I think people are getting confused on here!
A "volunteer" works for free so a lot of people who have been working on the ground have been doing that work for free - just like previous off seasons. People brought in to build roofs etc are likely to be paid as thats what they do for a living.
The Volunteers for Barrow do an amazing job and personally should be praised. Whether thats being allowed into a match as a thank you i don't know but I'd put money on quite a lot of them are season ticket holders anyway.
We've sold around 1000 ? ST before sales were holted and im sure thats to see what our allowed attendance is likely to be. They are already testing people in games again with social distancing so in my head I've got the 10th October as game fans will watch Barrow live again (fingers crossed sooner as the comment from the Carlisle CEO)
The club aren't stupid, im sure the ST holders will get in games as soon as we are allowed back in because they know we've committed our money up front (I've got 5 ST this year - one is under 7) so i can't see the BOD saying just wait a bit longer after you've paid all that money out.
Lets just be patient and hope that we get in no later than the 10th October!

If we have sold a 1000 ST (I've not got exact details) and ckub have said there are 400 standing tickets left I'd guess around the 1400 mark. Last i heard its around 30% capacity of what your ground can hold but this could have all changed. Basically if your seating you'll have designated seats but if your standing you are expected to social distance from other fans. Im sure the club will announce as soon as they know thr date we can attend games.

We can only speculate, the safety officials at the town hall will agree the Ground Capacity and other advisers will decide the % permitted.
GC times % is the likely answer

To be honest I would feel safer at the football ground than I do sitting on the 4 buses a day I catch to work or the office I sit in. It is now at the point where most are just getting on with life and getting back to normal maybe its time to say lets protect the vulnerable and everyone else can get back to normal. I'm gutted to be missing out but ill just have to wait, I can't afford a season ticket and it would not be worth it for me, I am just glad I don't live in Barrow I couldn't cope with knowing there was a game on and I wasn't there.

I see the Raiders have had a covid case at their "beer garden". Might be interesting to see what comes of it although the track and trace seems to have been made easier by the booked tables.
