Should never have been appointed purely for his record in Scotland and Grimsby.
Obviously took some of the players words that they are footballer without checking.
But like Johnson good wordsmith but poor on delivery.
If we go down its our own fault.

much as I am p****d off by all this I can't see how getting rid of Jolley now will change anything (apart from attacking more ).
whoever took over had a massive problem we're stuck with no decent forwards midfielder's ,then there's getting players to come here in our predicament it would be a hard sell at best!
yes I personally think we should have signed better players but at what cost?
the damage that Dunn's recruitment did destroyed everything we've done over the past 2 seasons, if we did decide to get rid of Jolley what does that do to the attitude of the players he's brought in and what messages does that send out to other players that we might want to sign next season?
listen I'm like everyone else totally depressed about all this and I can't even take it out of the linesman!.
we now need to listen to the board because I'm 100% worried about the future finances if we go down, we're taking a £800,000 hit this year, with smaller crowds , even with parachute payments probably another £600,000 down on what we would have to go with in our budget if we were still in the EFL next season!
So now is not the time to make rash decisions you never know sometimes strange things happen, we might stay up ( but I wouldn't bet on it !)

the damage that Dunn's recruitment did destroyed everything we've done over the past 2 seasons,

The root cause of our present predicament was Evatt baling out and leaving us in the lurch. I am grateful that he won us promotion, but I feel very bad that he moved on at the first opportunity (or perhaps it was the second, bearing in mind the Fylde saga). If he had stayed, that team, with two or three strategic additions, would have done OK in this league.

We can criticise the appointment of Dunn and Jolley and we can criticise the choice of signings by both managers, but we don't know what constraints the Board were under regarding what was affordable. Perhaps we could not attract a manager with a proven track record in L2 or L1, like some of the names that have been bandied about on this forum from time to time.

Even Jolley's signings might have been the only ones that met the criteria of being experienced but affordable. As someone pointed out, several of them were coming back after injury absences and/or not wanted by their present clubs. Not ideal, but perhaps they were the best we could get. In any case, I don't think we should write them off yet as bad signings after only a few games, especially with the on/off nature of our recent fixtures.
