I’d happily take an 11th place finish

The only way I'd take 22nd is if the alternative had to be 23rd or 24th. Like it or not the amount of time, effort and money that has been put into the club over the last couple of years warrants a better outcome. It would be a signal to everybody out there that we are actually a failing club. I'm no great optimist but my sights are set a little higher than 22nd.

I think it will be who next comes that door of opportunity that could well make the difference between an 11th placed finish and 22nd placed finish.

Where's the optimism gone I was reading on here only days ago? As long as Pete Wild is in charge I'd hope for a top-half finish at least; and I'm not ruling out a play-off place.

We lost to Blackpool in a friendly, so it has been decided that we’re now shit.

We’ve lost some key players and a lot will depend on recruitment and if we’ve got that right. Looks a stronger league (on paper) than last season. However he’s had season under his belt, has a game plan that can get results against the big sides and hopefully has brought in some players that can fit in and have an immediate impact to keep us at the right end.
We were (too) reliant on Josh Gordon’s 15 from last season and hopefully we don’t need so much reliance on the new strikers. Hoping for more goals from midfield. That will determine a lot about where we end up. Let’s hope we’ve got it right with recruitment.

What people have to realise the clue is in the title,FREINDLIES.These are games where you try out different combinations of players against different teams to try and find out the weaknesses in your own team before the season starts,so when it does you have the right players in the right positions so when the season starts you can win games.
