48’ GOAL!
Worrall bursts into the box and smashes a low volley against the post, but he reacts quickest to tuck the rebound home.

77’ Gooalll.
Barrow broke well on the counter and Campbell unselfishly squared it across to Garner who tapped it home from close range.

I am sure if Adam could have been there he would have been .He commented on the Holker game last year.I can remember walking past him at the side of the pitch when he was doing it.Louis29 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 12:57 pmThere is always an excuse with Radio CarlisleAdam29 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 12:35 pm There is no radio coverage today
Unfortunately I host the Saturday show during the summer and with it kicking off at 12:30 it logistically isn’t possible for me to be at Rakesmoor lane to cover a pre-season friendly and be on air for a sport show from 2pm - 6pm
Plus we don’t have the staff available so couldn’t do it remotely.
Carlisle game wasn’t on the radio it was streamed online but again with me having to be in the studio to host the afternoon show I can’t sadly be in two places at the same time
We have full commentary next Saturday and the show will be hosted from FCUM
I will be getting Clemence on my show just before 3 all being well

88’ GOAL.
Barrow broke well again and this time a Newby weighted a fine ball through to Garner, who remain composed and smashed it into the back of the net

90’ GOAL.
Acquah pressed well and snatched the ball from the feet of the keeper before slotting it home.

Re: Holker Friendly
The 3 trialists seemed to do ok, The number 36 playing at right back in the 1st half was good at pushing forward. The 38 in midfield 2nd half looked composed and the 39 a young looking tall left sided central defender looked solid enough. No idea who any of them are though. The 36 and 39 looked young and the 38 more experienced.
Edit;- Tyler, Charlie and Ben H - but no idea on last names - or which was which.

Re: Holker Friendly
Post match thoughts from the Barrow Head Coach Stephen Clemence who joined me on the Summer Saturday Sport show after his sides 5-1 win at Holker Old Boys in their opening pre-season encounter
