Defender Vassel is our top goal-scorer with 3 goals, more than any forward. Main strikers (so-called) Garner and Acquah have played just 1 game less.
Defender Jackson has 5 assists. Main mid-fielders Campbell, Foley and Spence have 0 assists between them, having played all or most games.

Funny thing these statistics because although Acqua may have played one less game than Vassel, he has yet to play a full 90 minutes in the league this season.

Dallas needs to start every week now, at least he has a shot. We need someone to take Telford in Jan

I think I have made my point…
A point I made before the start of the season, and was ridiculed with many now agreeing and seen sense.
The strikers we have are simply not good enough. And haven’t been since they were brought in.
Pay the big money for a goalscorer, whoever that may be
Telford, garner, acquah aren’t that. Would love to be around the table when these players get given the green light to sign.

Who would go near Telford the money he is reportedly on? Absolutely no one will go near him we will be stuck losing a shed load week by week and getting zero effort in return. The bloke is an absolute fraud.

I've said this many times how many times do our strikers get chances ?
The service at times is poor, just look at yesterdays game.
How many minutes has each player had this season on the pitch to chances created ? We seem to rotate our stikers every game so no one gets a good run. All 4 of them have had a good goal scoring season elsewhere so they didn't forget where the net is. I'm not saying a better more experienced striker might not have a few extra goals but where and how much is that going to cost ? People on here just think the club can click its fingers and get what every other club also wants and it'll work.
We have goal scorers all over the pitch, our strikers don't take penalties or free kicks which personally i find bizarre! Garner up front yesterday with hoof balls thrown at him will never score. We put a few good crosses in the box against Cheltenham the other week and 2 strikers scored so sort the service out then judge on chances created.

If looking for a goal scorer then realistically we need to look at leagues below.
Nick Haughton at fylde? 18 goals last year and already doing well this season.
Dieseruuvre or however it's spelt at Hartlepool, the lad at Rochdale Mitchell?
We know it will be costly and some may say a gamble but I think the need for someone who can score regularly is becoming glaringly apparent now.

An on form Ergling Haaland wouldn’t have scored for Barrow yesterday. There was no service whatsoever to those up front.

I think midfield is a bigger issue to be honest. Too few numbers and our better players are racking too many minutes up.
Hence why we're playing strikers out wide or in an attacking midfield position at times.

I agree . Difficult yesterday with the wind, but a definite lack of creativity in this team . Midfield needs a boost

I know every team gets injuries but Mahoney would make a major difference creativity wise

Look at it this way none of the forwards we have would make a difference in a national league team never mind a league 2 team.
Will struggle offloading any of them.
But we do as the post title says need a goalscorer I would hope this is made a priority.

Unfortunately this is true it’s an area we’ve struggled with since dare I say it Scott Quigley.
Josh Gordon had his moments but was never prolific but we’ve had some dross in Zanzala, Moyo and Bennett. Of the current forwards garner is a good footballer but needs support to be effective and isn’t a main striker. Acquah blows hot and cold and mostly cold so far, Telford has made little impact….time to give Dallas a try.
