Will cost over £100,000 to pay up Clemence/Stockdale contract, yet again we have to get rid of Managers on good Contracts, thankfully the Chelsea money will help the owners, how long does the next one last?.
That’s the nature of modern football it’s all about the money it’s all a gamble. SC cost us a shedload when we couldn’t beat Doncaster at home in the cup, didn’t get any better from there on in.

I 100% agree. If the owners would allow us an open meeting I would stand up and ask them why we lost a manager (who really cemented the supporters) and started appointing coaches who answered to a Director Of Football. We have appointed some bad managers recently, but to lose one who was great for our club in place of an ex- agent making decisions above his level of expertise is unforgivable. I want an open meeting and I want the first question.

I feel sorry for him, did he bring the players in, was he not vocal enough, did the players not want to play for him, we could not continue as we were. We were top against Chelsea what happened, the players need to look at themselves and if they do not want to be here or fight for the club then go we do not want you. The Board need to get it right now or we should have stuck with what we had. I wish him well where ever he ends up.

A good and brave call by the BoD.
We have almost half a season now to make sure we climb the table.
We got want we wanted, let's back the decision with full support and hopefully we can push on as one

Utterly untenable after last two especially.
Tough trip today.
Sorry when anyone loses their job, though as has been said it'll hurt professionally not financially. A nice man who has repeated his last job's mistakes and probably won't get another go.
Thanks for the part you played for the first 5 weeks.
After that....
Be amazed if Ian Wood got the bullet despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth which I'm not sure about.
Players need to take a look at themselves. Awful

Who cares about Pete Wild before he was sacked things started to go wrong with him and the Board for whatever reason.
Paul Simpson does have a pedigree ,think he did well at most clubs with exception of Stockport and lately Carlisle.
He will have organisational skills which Stephen Clemence did not.
Maybe worth a pint and ask him to take over for the season and see how he and the club feel .
We need a Manager who knows the lower leagues no former posh Premier League boys.

It was hardly rot , one place off the play offs ? Ok we hit a PW so called bump , but this year we’ve fallen off a cliff. £ to a penny Fleetwood finish above us .
One hell of a bump if so. We won what was it, 4 games in 24 or something post Xmas? Went from 2nd to dropping out of the play offs? That is falling off a cliff!
Pete Wild oversaw that and behaved, and spoke like a petulant child at times in that second half of the season. Did a decent job while he was here, but let himself down massively at the end and I wasn't altogether unhappy to see him go.

I've said it before we've lots of players out of contract that doesn't help I just hope some of them don't just say f**k it or have some already said that?!!!

It happens every season and there’s nothing the club can do about it, Spence for example (happened with Matt Platt etc in the past) , must have another offer in place, more money, no travelling for home games, he’s got no connections to our town so why would he give 100% every game.
Football must be the only career where, if you’re doing sh*t at your job, your boss gets fired.

“We could not have wished for a better start to the season; winning seven and drawing one of our first ten games to put us top of #LeagueTwo, and reaching the third round of the League Cup with a historic tie against @ChelseaFC at Stamford Bridge. We will all remember that evening in London. Our supporters singing “We are top of the league!” and the players fulfilling their boyhood dreams by playing in a #PremierLeague arena. I’m proud that I played a part in making those memories for everyone connected with the club.
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t sustain that form and started to experience far too many injuries. Not being able to pick the same team consecutively hindered us, but that was the hand we were dealt. We tried everything to turn things around, however momentum stalled and confidence was hit. We lost games and, while I am disappointed to leave, I respect the club’s decision. Looking back, I know we couldn’t have worked any harder.
“I could not have asked more of the players and staff. I would like to thank them for their contribution and wish them all the very best for the future. Yes, it was a great start and we were all extremely happy and enjoying what the archived.
Football is ultimately about results and points and unfortunately we didn't get the rub of the green for whatever reason
A nice message from Mr Clemmence and we should all appreciate his humble comments.
