And I agree with you, some on here just don`t understand how lower league Contracts work.

Actually that’s a good point and not something we normally dwell upon when considering why players seem to seek to move on like a lemming heading for the sea.
A two year contract with a League 1 club will almost certainly earn you another two years with a League 2 club after that. It’s not as risky as it may sound.
