Switch to artificial if needs be
The unofficial Barrow AFC fans forum
https://barrowafc.net/
We did that with FC United between November and mid March. The only difference I see is that the 3G is of better quality than FC.
Somewhat ironic that in the same sentence you bleat that "its a forum" and then go on to use a derogatory term like 'happy clappers' about people who don't see things your way!
Somewhat ironical you use the term bleat I can concur that's something a happy clappers would do ..
There was a contract, Pedro. That's not 'happy clapping' (whatever that means, anyway), it's a fact. How long had we been at FC United? Why wasn't there the spate of injuries in previous seasons? Why weren't you saying in previous seasons "We should leave"? Why, at the Q&A, did someone say (can't remember who) the artificial pitch had nothing to do with the injuries?Pedro wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 2:10 amSomewhat ironical you use the term bleat I can concur that's something a happy clappers would do ..
I made a observation that we should have not been at FC United ground as we seem to have had a large number of lingering injuries whilst there.
I also said we should have left sooner for which I was accused of not giving the club a break.
I thought ostriches were only found in Africa.
By failing to prepare you are preparing for fail.
We walked into relegation because of this
I might be controversial it's my view as much as the flock bleat about it.
As a few are having a go at you Pedro, I’ll join in, and suggest that you think everyone that disagrees with you (and let’s face it there are many) are happy clappers.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 9:59 amThere was a contract, Pedro. And yes this a forum, and yes you are entitled to your own opinion (often wrong). You usyally take the bait, but your views, typos and bad grammar generally have some entertainment value. Keep it up.
I doubt PNE's facilities are really big enough to share Andy with just 3 and a bit grass pitches. The indoor facilities are supposed to be good though, originally set up when Bolton were there under big Sam and then sold on to Wigan and laterly NE.andyg wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 12:03 pm I was hoping we might have trained at Preston NE's training grounds as I would have thought the facilities would have been far better than Curzon's however I presume cost may have been a factor in the decision. Can't see it being geography as its around 30 miles between the two.
You recall that correlation does not equal causation.Pedro wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 2:10 am I made a observation that we should have not been at FC United ground as we seem to have had a large number of lingering injuries whilst there.

This for me - absolutely spot on.Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2026 9:59 am Blame it the facilities as much as you want but ultimately it was the recruitment of injury prone players who were too focused on getting back on with their careers then giving a shite about us. That’s what cost us.
Fcum used the same facilities and managed to finish second top scorers and joint second best defensive record. Yes they may be a few leagues below but they make it work for them. Spurs and Leicester probably have two of the best training facilities in the country and they’ve had abysmal seasons respectively.
Used the word bleat quite deliberately, but thought you would choose to miss the point! I'm far from being what you would describe as a happy clapper, but I do try not to disrespect those who don't share my views by applying silly labels to them. My last word on the subject, you may be pleased to hear!Pedro wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 2:10 amSomewhat ironical you use the term bleat I can concur that's something a happy clappers would do ..
