The stand, especially the block where I sit, is the worst for dropped litter. There's only one bin for the entire stand which is at the Xbar end. Perhaps we could get Darren to make an announcement reminding fans to use the rubbish bins----assuming they know what one looks like and what it's purpose is.

There is a bin at the other end Elaine, but because of the way the walls are there, it is tucked behind the wall by the steps, in the area leading to the HSE. Probably so it doesnt blow over and spread the litter further around. One of the gatemen who goes up to the ground and litter picks voluntarily was saying the other night how bad the problem is getting.

The bins have all been moved around a bit (there are plenty btw) & hopefully are placed more where they need to be so there can't be any excuse for people not to use them.
Elaine should now just be able to concentrate on all the other areas she does (fantastic job she does as well) instead of picking up litter & putting the shits up me when I was happily working away down there today bit of Gurkha in that girl!! (no rude comments.....she's a proper lady)

GT, your boards came in very useful & my attic looks great now

Only joking bud, We've started to lay them down in the MA & they've really come in handy. A job that needed doing but I didn't want to spend money on it.

Next Sunday (10th) is still on, depending on the weather, still looking for some more volunteers so if your not up to much for a few hours from 9:00 ish you know where your needed.

Ian my dad Peter you will prob know him has got a circular saw for you if your interested.

What do you mean "not sure about 9:am" your not down the Gazza strip again are you? you'll be having a couple of cheap sherry's in the cons club & be tucked up snug as by 10:00 pm so see you at 9:00am

There's still a bit of power left in the battery yet Ian.

Looking ok for Sunday although we could still do with a few more volunteers to make it a three hour job instead of four or five, 9:00 till dinnertime if you can help out, I think we have between ten & twelve at the moment.

Thanks to Steve & Steve (I think) for making the handrail for the BDF shop which we'll be fitting on Sunday.
Thanks also to Neil & Luke (in advance) for going down there on Saturday to connect all the electrics.

Anyone with a van or trailer on Sunday would be very helpfull.

Anyone with any scrap metal, just drop it off at the ground on Sunday.

Think about it, what else would you be doing at nine in the morning on a Sunday other than having a sleep in, nursing a hangover or fending off the wife

Just an outside chance someone could help out here rather than us spending money out of our kitty, does anyone have one of those portable work-benches that they could donate? or if you have a spare £20 they sell them in Wilkinsons

Circular saw picked up today & Peter Nicholls also donated a portable work bench.......guess there isn't much DIY on the agenda when he retires shortly
Another portable work bench would be ideal if anyone has one spare.

Just another reminder for anyone interested, we could do with some more bodies on Sunday from 9:00 till approx dinnertime.
Twenty people will have the ground cleared in 2-3 hours & there's jobs for anyone, young or old. We're about half way there in terms of numbers - no home game this week so spend a few hours at the ground tidying it up.

Turnstile "C" is where we now gain access (that's the one between the BDF shop & the main stand on Wilkie Rd)
You'll either see the double gates open or people buzzing around (hopefully) if your in a car, just park up in front of the reception area.
