Seems to be how he plays the game, hes very much like Andre Gray in the way he backs into people and tries to use his physique.

Goal should have stood and we could have won if taken our chances. Hope we are on the verge of turning a corner and get some luck soon. Tranmere are defo no big shakes, just a good average with league one support and facilities

Not a big club but definitely big enough to be a Division 2 club or even a Division 1 club.

They sure are a big club, or potential to be. There still getting over 4000 against us and dover last week,when lincoln were struggling in this league they were getting 2000 +,now there selling out 9000,Tranmere would be double figures.The infrastrucure they have in place as well is impressive.That supporters view of our tactics makes me laugh,they either blame the opposition or the officials ever week,and cant admit to there own teams weaknesses.As if being there losing in the 94th min isnt bad enough i buy a NLP and them celebrating is splashed across the front page,[SwearFilter].

I DID mention that they have a nice big stadium (but it does have a lack of atmosphere) and a big fan base - which is only because of the size of the area they reside in. BUT they're NOT a big club. They're in the National League and have been for some time. And I wouldn't put money on them achieving promotion this season...

This BIG Club mentality has only come about because of their brief spell in The Championship and a cup run which took them to the FA Cup sem-final decades ago. We used to play Tranmere regularly in the old 3rd/4th division!

By being involved with the keeper in any way, as soon as the offensive header is made then he's in offside position and the linesman made the call. The offside obviously wasn't from the initial throw.

So... 10 years in the Championship is a 'brief spell', but 3 years in the Conference is 'some time'?

Also, seeing as you mentioned accuracy, we never made an FA Cup semi. A few quarters, but nothing past that. We did make it to the League Cup final while it was still a worthwhile cup though.

Anyway, no Tranmere fan would honestly say we're a 'big club'... big for this level, maybe, but not compared to our near neighbours or much of the football league. Our natural level has historically been in League 1, where we've spent about half of our existence. We punched above our weight in the Championship and nearly made it to the Prem, but we were at the top end of our reach. We're now at the bottom end, and it really really sucks.

Have read your post again and agree with you Have to say the atmosphere created Saturday by there support in the last 10 mins was impressive,and probably drove them on to victory.

Apologies for my inaccuracies. Quite surprised to know that you spent ten years in the Championship - I think I'd have remembered that if you'd been a big club...

My own personal memories of Tranmere Rovers are gained from our fixtures during the 70s - Jim Coombes in goal for you and me wondering why yourselves and Bury had the same kit as us...
