Title winning performance, absolutley outstanding.
If there isn't 2500+ at Holker Street next week then the Furness public simply don't deserve a FL club.

Re: Notts County FC (A)
I've just been contemplating what today's result will do to the crowd next Saturday and Tuesday. We need 200 more to turn up to break the 2,000 barrier, that surely will happen now and on the Tuesday too with the right result on the Saturday. Can we expect another 500? Hope so.BoltonBlue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 8:43 pm Title winning performance, absolutley outstanding.

Only thing that could possibly go against us for the crowd next week is [SwearFilter] festival in ulverston.... Much more entertainment at HS

Absolute nailed on away performance! I asked my lad who his man of the match was and he said he couldn’t pick as every single one of them had blinders and I couldn’t disagree. Superb, game management and performance outstanding.
Along with the game I loved the passion and togetherness the squad showed at full time with the fans as one....
Brilliant day.

The [SwearFilter] Festival has events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which will give people plenty of chance to do both.
If they are pushed for time they could come to HS in [SwearFilter] dress!
Re: Notts County FC (A)
Half price entry for anyone dressed like a [SwearFilter]?

Re: Notts County FC (A)
If that was the last Barrow game any of the 471 who were there today ever saw it would be a great one to go out on because the word to describe that performance today was brilliant. Not perfect but brilliant in every aspect of the game against on paper a bl**dy good side in good form who hadn't lost at home since early August.
Brilliant in the way we exploited the wide pitch, incisive in the way we put them to the sword early doors, intense in the way we matched them physically and brilliant again after half time when we game-managed the bollox out of them. Better in every department with every player at 100% in effort given from minute 1 to minute 93. Neil Ardley's very honest post match assessment was that we were just better and there aren't many more sides to be better than in the NL than Notts County.
Despite a 2-0 lead at half time it was the second half that really impressed me as we completely dismantled the expected onslaught and eventually took control of midfield, taking the ball off County, denying their impressive looking attack of decent ball and repeatedly hitting them on the counter. It was verging on a masterclass. I think it did shock a lot of the home fans and whilst some of us have seen this on the road already this season, this was the most complete of our performances and at times it was a pure joy to watch. You had to remind yourself that this was Barrow.
Anybody out there that's remotely interested in the sport, the club or the town should get down to HS next Saturday. This is a team now playing a brand of football that I've rarely seen in 50 years of supporting the club. Moreover its all holistic - the manager inspires the team, the board support the manager, the fans are lifted by the team and give it back to the team in spades. The reaction of the players at the end of the game today was special, and almost emotional and demonstrated the bond there is right through this club at the moment. By the way White slotted in just like a perfect piece of the jigsaw - an absolute gem of a signing.
Get as much of it as you can whilst it lasts!

Put a string of coloured bulbs up each of the floodlight pylons as a rival attraction. Sorted.

We were top after the 2nd game of the 2008-9 season - the 4-3 win at Altrincham.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 8:37 pm Have we been top of this league before or is this a first for us?![]()
