Wow. Your club and supporters are certainly at an all-time low; and you are demonstrating the capability to go a whole lot lower, on all fronts.Wanderersways wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:50 pm Do you have a paypal? or a way us Bolton fans can help fellow supporters out after stealing their manager?
Few quid to help you put a roof on a stand?

You’re skinter than us and I’ll bet that 5 quid BWFC have a just giving page set up in their name this season.

Re: Ian Evatt
Look at 'big Bolton' giving it the beans on little old Barrow. I suspect under all this utter dross you have been spilling that deep down you bolton fans are utterly terrified at what your once mediocre club is becoming.

Re: Ian Evatt
I admired Evatt as a man. I don't anymore, and as a lifelong Barrow supporter I feel that I have been cheated. He was fulsome about the team, the town, the club and the supporters. Maybe more fool me. I sincerely hope that he does not make a statement about "how wonderful Barrow is/are" etc. Just platitudes and empty words which would mean nothing. Can't work out whether I'm bitter or disappointed - either way I have lost respect for him. I really thought he was quality; now I'm convinced that he is not.

Re: Ian Evatt
Leave those Trotters alone. They have an absolute right to believe that Evatt will turn up on his trusty steed and stop the fall.
Lets face it. This is the last roll of the dice. He either saves them from the abyss or they will disappear without a trace. There are no more saviours for Bolton out there. Many teams like our own are built to withstand non-league football. I suspect Bolton are not. Now or never then. It'll be interesting to see which it is.

Re: Ian Evatt
Think Adam summed most peoples thoughts up here;
It is disappointing as it is only two weeks since Barrow got promoted and we all thought Evatt would be the one to carry it on, as he was talking about aiming even higher.
It will bring to an end a fantastic two years at Holker Street. But he is passionate, he aims high and he is ambitious.
Bolton fans may have to be patient. For the first nine games last season, Barrow only picked up seven points, but he persisted with the style he believed in and he got his rewards.
It was an unbelievable standard for non-league football and, if he can emulate that at Bolton, their fans will be in for a treat.
Whoever takes the Barrow job will have at least 11 of last season's squad contracted, including all the key players such as John Rooney, and the club are looking to try to make last season's loan players permanent signings too.
Attributed to the bbc who are saying what we already knew that the deal is done.

I think what you seem to fail to understand is we know who we are. We do have a small stadium and it’s not great but we are improving it all the time. We are a small club, we were even small in the NL, but you the mighty mighty Bolton need to understand you have been on the decline for years and are playing at our tiny new roofed stadium on merit. You’ve won 13 games in the last two seasons. Your history is irrelevant, your stadium is irrelevant all that matters is the points at the end of the season. How many points did you amass in that wonderful empty stadium of yours? I’ll help you because I’m not sure you can count that high. 20 points. That’s where your club is at,20 points in an empty stadium. On the other hand we got 41 points in our shed. I know they were different leagues but you are the mighty Bolton wanderers remember! Let go of the past it’s embarrassing, your a league two club nowWanderersways wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:50 pm Do you have a paypal? or a way us Bolton fans can help fellow supporters out after stealing their manager?

Enjoyed the Ian Evatt day’s immensely he and his back room staff worked wonders here but that chapter has come to an end.
So thank you Ian, Peter, Callum and Lewis and anyone I missed. Together you achieved what many of us thought was way beyond our dreams and I for one will be truly thankful until my my last breath.
Will look out for how you progress in the coming years.

Re: Ian Evatt
Ok then to be pedantic it was 186 million [ but do you think a debt of that size over 10 years doesn't cost a few million to administer ] And I think if you check back in the archives that's the very figure that your own Mark Iles uses in numerous articles.WATOAOW wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 6:00 pmNice try but you are mistaken.NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:05 pmNo, of course, it's not, maybe i.m mistaken and this isn't the same Bolton Wanderers who ran up debts of 200 million or was that Anderson's fault as well?
We've never had a debt of £200M or anywhere near that.
The previous owner Eddie Davies wrote off the money he invested, as was always his intention.
Yes, Eddie Davis wrote it off But no i.m pretty sure when he started putting money into the club his plan wasn't to lose a large part of his personal fortune to bail his local football club out of the shit.

Think some of us are letting ourselves down on here by rising to the bait.
There’s been enough hyperbole and rhetoric time to move on folks!!

Re: Ian Evatt
We should not be arguing with Bolton supporters .
I have fond memories of Bolton and also feel sorry for the way they have fallen on hard times.
It must be hard to watch how well Burnley ,Blackburn and PNE are doing.
The bitterness is the way Evatt until recently was spinning about our future.
To Bolton fans listen to podcasts of I.E and you will hear the same spiel ,he is truly Trotter.
Ian who?
